00:07The situation in the east coast continued to worsen with more people being evacuated

00:29In Kelantan, the number of flood victims rose to 12,526 from 3,110 who are taking shelter
00:37at 96 relief centres in places including Pasir Mas, Pasir Putih, Kuala Krai, Kota Baru, Tanah
00:45Merah.
00:46Pasir Mas recorded the highest number of evacuees with 3,232, followed by Pasir Putih and Kuala
00:54Krai.
00:55The casualty in Kelantan was caused by electrocution, while the 33-year-old male victim attempted
01:02to unplug a washing machine at his flooded home in Kampung Banir, Belikong.
01:08Authorities said five major rivers in the state had surpassed danger levels.
01:13In Terengganu, the number of flood victims also surged to 1,851, with 42 relief centres
01:20opened in Besut, Setiu, Dungun, Hulu-Terengganu and Marang.
01:26Besut is the worst-hit district with 1,102 evacuees.
01:32Water levels at 11 river monitoring stations exceeded the danger mark.
01:37The other casualty came from Sarawak when a senior citizen died after his car was swept
01:42into a river by strong currents during a flash flood in Kapit in the morning.
