00:00Peter, was Stefan coming in wanting to be better on the ball because you mentioned how important that was tonight?
00:04He was neat and tidy, wasn't he, Stefan?
00:06Yeah, he was one who I thought could have got on the ball more first half, playing a little bit too high.
00:11You could see that in the second half, dropped that a little bit deeper, gave us a bit more control
00:15and tried to create a bit more space to play into the three players who were ahead of him as well.
00:21Yeah, listen, I think Stef has got a huge amount of potential
00:28and patience is a big thing.
00:30Him acclimatising to this league is totally different to football he's been playing in, both internationally and the league he's come from.
00:37But I'll tell you what, he's determined to do it and that's why he's good to work with.
00:42So I was really pleased with him and for him today.
00:44But the crosses across the face of goal were frustrating because there was nobody in black there three or four times.
00:50Yeah, it feels a little in my head like I've got a few of them muddled up,
00:55but I remember a couple where we get in behind and flash back across and Potts did one or two ahead of the ball and no one coming in the back.
01:03Like I said, that real good one for Milly in the first half.
01:05So many from plays and things like that.
01:08But there's two things, his body's in there, which we haven't been as good at as we have been over the previous nine or ten games.
01:18So it's something we want to emphasise and really stress that point.
01:21And also the quality of the ball then, you know, sometimes it's a pass in there and you can pick a body out.
01:26You might only need one body in there if you can pick him out.
01:29So yeah, two things and as I say, that will always be something that we're looking to work on.
01:34You gave nothing away though, didn't you?
01:35I think Karen's been getting very quiet, Jack got a good night.
01:38Yeah, Minufu comes in all the time onto his left as a danger, Ayo on the other side.
01:44So yeah, but that's been a trait of ours.
01:46Like I said, the frustration's been, you look at those games when we conceded goals, Norwich for all their possession had three attempts on target, something like that, scored two.
01:59Bristol only had five attempts all game, scored three.
02:04Plymouth, when we were down there, had nothing, don't know how we come away with nothing there.
02:08Similar at the weekend, Derby, one shot and our goal scored.
02:12That's been a big frustration, you know, a big frustration.
02:16It's not necessarily been a good reflection on how the team's been defending.
02:21Have you stripped it back at all?
02:22The messages remain the same since you came in, in terms of, we're not going to have to give any chances away to keep a clean sheet.
02:27You never want to give them away, you never.
02:29I thought it's like in the games, we'd be, go back to the first game, go back to the Luton game, as well as we played in there, Luton had a lot of attempts on our goal.
02:38We defended our box fantastically well, you know, yet we keep a clean sheet.
02:42I think you could add all those games I've just said to you, you could add all their shots up together.
02:45They probably aren't as many as Luton, you know, but we've conceded a lot of goals in those games.
02:50Sometimes it goes that way, sometimes it falls that way, but I take how we're defending as a team.
02:55I think they're doing really well.
02:57How do you think Kane's faring going forward?
03:00Does it look as natural to him as the other side, is he just having to do a job for you?
03:04No, he's comfortable doing it and he's comfortable doing it.
03:06I think, listen, he wasn't his best with the ball today, but once again, his energy, getting him behind, massive outlets.
03:12Don't forget, he kept Maneuve quiet at one end and he's still trying to be a threat going the other way, so hats off to him.
03:18You know, that's a big, big thing to be able to do as a young player, keep one of their main men quiet as he did.
03:24So that was his job and he did it and he was also testing them, trying to get the other way as well.
03:29So that's what we like about him.
03:31He's got the physical capabilities and the energy to do that.
