00:00So we've got obviously like traditional pieces, we've got the vintage carousel, we've got the wave swinger, these are the swings just behind us, we've got the giant wheel, and then we've got some thrill rides per se, we've got the booster max which is 60 metres, high velocity speeds, that's good, and then we've got this drop tower, it's actually going up just now so you'll see it drop in a minute, that's 80 metres tall, it's the only ride in the UK of this similar stature,
00:29I went on it twice on Sunday and it was phenomenal, I took a video when I went up for my socials and when it dropped I went ahhh and it was amazing,
00:39and then we've got some kids rides, couple of kids rides in the corner, the helter skelter is there, and we've got loads of variations of stalls, we've got foods, we've got crafts, we've got the bar, we've got the ice skating, and then yeah, that's really us.
00:56M&M events was started by my mum and her sister, and they do this a wee bit of a backstory, so they started in 2000 and, round about 2010 they started, and it was with the personalised decorations, and they've done that from 2010,
01:10so they started in the Forge shopping centre, Nisa, and then the next year she asked my mum if she wanted to join and then they just kind of went from there.
01:18Christmas markets never used to be a massive thing like they are now, I mean I feel like there's Christmas markets everywhere, but me and my mum was in the town doing Christmas shopping, and we walked through the St Enoch Christmas market,
01:29and my mum said oh there's a few stalls here, I'm going to see if we can get the decorations in, and then she did get the decorations in, and that's just kind of where we built from,
01:38and in 2013 they went to Edinburgh Christmas market, and it was in St Andrews Square, and Princes Street, what everyone knows as the Edinburgh Christmas market, along the front, wasn't really major like it is now,
01:50and because we've been to, like attended so many Christmas markets as traders, we kind of had the vision that Glasgow was always the goal, you know, to one day take M&M events, to have Glasgow,
02:01and my mum and her sister and both of our families have worked so hard to get here, so when we got it last year, and we were successful with the tender, it was like, it was just amazing, it was a really overwhelming feeling because it was like,
02:12okay what's next? I think we've probably been to most Christmas markets in the UK as traders, and now we're doing our own, which is stressful, but it's worth it, it's great, we love it.
02:21There's no lights on in here right now, but there's my Christmas tree, and it's there, proud of it, I love it.
02:29Very limited though to what I could do because the tree only come yesterday morning, so then when it come, the ice has already obviously been started getting laid from Thursday morning,
02:41so I was like on ladders on the ice, and I had my harness on, and it was a bit stressful putting all the baubles on it, and it was very heavy.
02:49Yeah so all of these lights, when they go on, you get the reflection of the lights on the ice, and it totally just lights up the marquee, and then we've got some music, some nice Christmas tunes.
