00:24House Assistant Majority Leader Jefferson Congon believes that the death threat of Vice President Sara Duterte

00:32can be considered an impeachable offense in the life of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.,

00:38First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

00:42According to the congressman, the death threat of the Vice President is serious and dangerous.

00:48However, he made it clear that they were not allowed to speak in front of the camera

00:52about what steps Duterte should take because they are busy with their work.

00:57He was also supported by House Deputy Majority Leader Paulo Ortega

01:01and House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability Chair Joel Chua.

01:05As of now, we haven't been able to talk about it.

01:09We are just continuing our work.

01:14Of course, our goal is to finish the hearings and investigation

01:19so that the policy recommendations, new laws, amendments,

01:24and possible findings can be submitted to the relevant agencies.

01:31That is the number one priority of the committees.

01:35As of now, there are more lawmakers who expressed their support for the administration

01:40in the midst of the violence and abuse of the Vice President.

01:44In the statement of the congressmen of the Philippine Federal Party,

01:48led by the presidential son, House Senior Deputy Majority Leader Sandro Marcos,

01:53they condemned the alleged attack on our democracy.

01:58They also expressed their support for the leader of the camera.

02:02Even the local officials in different places

02:06also expressed their support for President Marcos and Speaker Romualdez.

02:11In Eastern Visayas, the congressmen and mayors also issued a joint manifesto

02:16against the accusations of the Vice President.

02:19As of now, the authorities are investigating the death threat of the Vice President

02:24which was supported by the congressmen.

02:27Due process will be observed in such a way that the Vice President will be given

02:32the opportunity to answer with regard to this threat against the President,

02:37the First Lady, including the House Speaker.

02:40We stand by the statement of the President and the Speaker.

02:43The judicial process has been initiated already.

02:49The DOJ is already acting on the case.

02:51So I think whatever opinion he might have on whether the case will prosper is his own.

02:58But we leave it to the DOJ to decide and to handle.
