David Chadwick raised concerns over the safety of coal tips across Wales in parliament yesterday.

The Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe MP said in the Commons that people living in former mining communities across South Wales deserve greater reassurance on what the Government will do about coal tips.

00:26I thank the hon. Gentleman for his question. There is a programme of improving maintenance
00:32of coal tips that is under way through the Welsh Government. As I said earlier, this
00:36is the first Government to allocate funding to tackle that risk and the very serious implications
00:43that it has for people and communities living in affected areas.
