00:00I think it's just how the judges see you. Anybody could win, you never know till the last day.
00:04I can't change things because I'm just one person.
00:06It's a very big thing for India to have a Miss World from India.
00:14I don't think so. I think it's just because we seem to have the best of the East and the West
00:19and we could bring out a correct blend of it and we seem to be most confident on stage.
00:25I think it's just how the judges see you. Anybody could win, you never know till the last day.
00:30But you think that the contestants from India sort of have some kind of advantage?
00:35We do because we always seem to stand out first of all because of the way we dress
00:39and our heritage that we carry along with us wherever we go and you're always in view
00:45and plus the way we, I guess, present ourselves, carry ourselves and talk.
00:49Well anyone who saw the show last night will know that you seemed incredibly composed
00:53in amongst all the madness that was going on around you.
00:56Were you really that relaxed? What was going on?
00:57Backstage you should have seen me.
01:00So it was just an act?
01:01It wasn't an act. I'm a very stage person. I love people.
01:05And when you get on stage you get completely composed all the time
01:08because I've done a lot of theatre before and I've been on stage quite often
01:12and plus after Miss India which was a huge audience of about 70,000 people.
01:17So this didn't seem as overwhelming as I thought it would be.
01:20Now we had Miss India last year in the studio to talk to us then
01:24and I have to say that between then and now we haven't seen a great deal of her
01:28in terms of what she's done and what she's achieved.
01:30Is it quite a big responsibility to actually try and make some kind of a mark?
01:34Because I know every year we hear the same thing.
01:36You want to change things. You want to get people dealing with issues.
01:39I don't want to change things. I can't change things because I'm just one person
01:42but I have got an opportunity and a platform where I can influence people's minds,
01:47their thoughts and their actions and I guess I'd like to explore on that.
01:50When I understand, I don't quite understand in practice.
01:53I mean how can you actually do, what will you actually be doing?
01:56Because I have come onto a platform like Miss World where people would actually look up to me
02:01as a role model especially in developing countries like India and surrounding countries.
02:07It's a very big thing for India to have a Miss World from India
02:12and it's very important for them to understand who we are
02:16and when they start doing that after the past minutes that we've had
02:20we've become sort of like role models for them and they listen.
02:22I believe you asked one of the other girls a very difficult question in the final setu.
02:27I've got it down here. It was, if ignorance is bliss, why do people seek knowledge?
02:31That was a question you posed for one of your opponents.
02:34That was a question.
02:34Difficult question.
02:35That was a question I was asked for Miss India. That was my final judging question.
02:39Was that a fair question to think? Because it really put the girl on the spot, didn't it?
02:42Well, it was my question and we all had given in five questions
02:47which we might, if we became finalists, ask the other girls and the most difficult one got chosen.
02:52It was Miss Uruguay who got asked the question,
02:54did she have a go at you afterwards and say?
02:56She just came backstage and told me it's an intelligent question.
02:59I said that was an intelligent answer.
03:01So it was okay in the end?
03:03Yeah, it was all right. She was very happy.
