00:00Every single day you see someone wearing a Batman t-shirt,
00:03like around the world.
00:04Yeah, it's so ingrained in the culture.
00:05It's something that connects to people
00:06on such a kind of primal level.
00:08It's something about how long the character's been around,
00:18so it's been around for 80 years,
00:20and it's such a massive part of global culture,
00:25and it feels, it's not just doing a remake of a movie
00:29or something, it's...
00:30I think what I was really excited about
00:32was seeing how the other women who played Catwoman
00:35really made the character so different every time,
00:38and how they really made it their own every time.
00:40It's not about saving the world,
00:48it's about this one particular place, too,
00:51so you have to feel connected to it.
00:52It has to feel real, it has to feel grounded,
00:55or it kind of doesn't work, I think.
00:57And the nature of the bad guys in it,
01:00they're just, I mean, they're very accessible bad guys.
01:04I mean, it's just, it's kind of,
01:06it's very easy to imagine it existing in reality.
01:08It's what Gotham is, like this city in turmoil
01:11that's kind of falling apart,
01:12and because it's one of the few superhero films
01:16where it's not about supernatural powers,
01:19it's really, you want to ground it.
01:28There's different layers.
01:29Like, you have, first, you're just really excited
01:30and can't believe it's happening,
01:31and then you realize that you have to do it,
01:34and that people are going to see it and judge it,
01:36and then you get really scared,
01:37and then it's kind of like a back and forth
01:40between that the whole time.
01:49It's exciting when so many great actors have interpreted it,
01:53that just trying to find your own place is,
01:57it's really challenging, and kind of,
02:00and also knowing that everyone is going to judge you
02:02in comparison to that, it's kind of,
02:04it's scary, but it's fun.
02:06You can't help but be inspired by the people
02:08who played them before,
02:09because they did such wonderful work,
02:10and so trying to take that inspiration
02:13and kind of still find ways to make it your own,
02:16and I was very inspired by that.
02:23And I think that's what I'm most proud of,
02:25is that I got to be a part of it.
02:27I got to be a part of it.
02:28I got to be a part of it.
02:29I got to be a part of it.
02:30I got to be a part of it.
02:30I got to be a part of it.
02:31I got to be a part of it.
02:32I got to be a part of it.
02:33I got to be a part of it.
02:34I got to be a part of it.
02:35I got to be a part of it.
02:35I got to be a part of it.
02:36I got to be a part of it.
02:37I got to be a part of it.
02:38I got to be a part of it.
02:39I got to be a part of it.
02:40I got to be a part of it.
02:41I got to be a part of it.
