As White House press secretary Jen Psaki gets ready to step down, here are her most iconic clapbacks...
Transcript
00:00This is not about the leak. This is about women's health care.
00:03I think most Americans actually do care.
00:05I hate to disappoint conservative Twitter, but I am going to circle back on a number of things.
00:09Why does the president support abortion when his own Catholic faith teaches abortion is morally wrong?
00:24He believes that it's a woman's right, it's a woman's body, and it's her choice.
00:29Why does the White House fear that the president's allies are weaponizing the Justice Department to undermine election integrity?
00:41I would say if you have such a fear of making it easier and more accessible for people to vote, then I would ask you what you're so afraid of.
00:49The former president just released a statement saying that the Biden administration must act immediately to end the border nightmare that they have unleashed on our nation.
01:03Former President Trump?
01:04Yes.
01:05We don't take our advice or counsel from former President Trump on immigration policy, which was not only inhumane, but ineffective over the last four years.
01:15Most of the criticism is not of leaving Afghanistan.
01:23It's the way that he has ordered it to happen, by pulling the troops before getting these Americans who are now stranded.
01:31Does he have a sense of that?
01:32First of all, I think it's irresponsible to say Americans are stranded.
01:35They are not.
01:36We are committed to bringing Americans who want to come home, home.
01:40Wouldn't it be wise for the secretary to get back on the bicycle, so to speak, and come back to work?
01:48He's at work.
01:49He's on paternity leave.
01:51I was on a conference call with him this morning.
01:54He's in the department now, every day.
01:58Listen, Emerald, I think what you're getting at here is this question about whether men, parents, women should have paternity and maternity leave.
02:07And the answer is absolutely yes.
02:14I think a lot of people got the vaccine because they were hearing him say, if you get the vaccine, you don't have to wear masks anymore.
02:22And that continues to be CDC guidance.
02:25And you can say that that's going to be the guidance forever.
02:29I am not the CDC director.
02:31I understand, but people don't care who tells them to wear a mask.
02:34They should care.
02:36Shouldn't they care if it's a doctor, a medical expert, or a spokesperson?
02:39I think most Americans actually do care.
02:45Does the president have a message for local school officials on dealing with these kind of disputes that are already starting to arise?
02:52Between trans girls who are competing and cis girls in a level playing field.
03:00I would just say that the president's belief is that trans rights are human rights.
03:04And that's why he signed that executive order.
03:06And in terms of the determinations by universities and colleges, I would certainly defer to them.
03:11Sorry to see you go.
03:12Are you?
