00:00Taylor Swift released her highly anticipated album Midnights on Friday,
00:04sending Swifties into a frenzy and even causing one streaming service to crash.
00:09Upon the midnight release of her 10th studio album, reports of several Spotify outages came
00:14flooding in as fans quickly took to Twitter to express their confusion. However, the errors were
00:19quickly resolved and listeners were able to access the platform just in time for Swift to drop an
00:24additional 7 songs at 3am. Swift kept the fanfare going, teasing all of the music videos she has
00:30shot for the new record. She released the first one for Antihero the morning after the album's
00:35release. Midnights is Swift's fifth album in just over two years, following her indie folk
00:40albums Folklore and Evermore and the re-recordings of her early albums Fearless and Red. The
00:45re-release of Red late last year also caused Spotify to temporarily crash. So while technical
00:50difficulties may be a minor inconvenience, it's usually just an indication that Taylor is back.
