00:00A 77-year-old woman is suing a Denver detective after he used wrong information from Find My
00:05iPhone to get a warrant that allowed a SWAT team to raid her home. After calling her out of her
00:09home through a loudspeaker, officers, some donning tactical gear and carrying rifles,
00:14entered her home to search for six firearms, an old iPhone, and other stolen property.
00:19In the lawsuit, Ruby Johnson said a Denver detective illegally obtained a warrant
00:23after using inaccurate information provided by Apple's Find My app. But according to Apple's
00:27legal terms, the Find My app only provides an approximate location of items. In the lawsuit,
00:32Johnson detailed how she's felt since the raid, saying she feels uncomfortable living in her home,
00:37and even temporarily moved in with her son in Houston after the incident. The lawsuit claims
00:42officers destroyed a garage door and doorframe, rifled through her belongings, and broke the head
00:46off of one of Ms. Johnson's prized collectible doll figurines that Ms. Johnson had cherished
00:51for nearly three decades. In response, the Denver Police Department released a statement
00:55stating it had opened an internal investigation into the matter.
