00:00We've lived in this house 44 years and everything we worked for and paid for, it's gone.
00:07Parts of the Midwest and the South were left reeling after at least 50 tornadoes touched
00:12down in seven states over the weekend.
00:14The extreme weather killed at least 32 people in Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Illinois,
00:18Indiana, Mississippi, and Delaware, and some of these areas could continue to see harsh
00:23conditions this week.
00:24The governors of Indiana, Iowa, Illinois, and Arkansas each announced emergency or disaster
00:29declarations to get assistance to the affected areas.
00:32The severe storm comes just one week after tornadoes devastated Mississippi, and experts
00:37say another strong system could cause further destruction from Texas to Illinois on Tuesday.
00:43In recent years, researchers have noticed tornadoes occurring more frequently in these
00:46kind of clusters, but unlike other weather events, including hurricanes and droughts,
00:51the link between tornadoes and climate change remains unclear, and the U.S. has only been
00:55tracking tornadoes since the 1950s.
