00:23Leonard Bernstein and stuck a disgusting, exaggerated Jew nose on him, said one
00:27organization aimed at countering anti-Semitism. Others shared side-by-side comparisons of the
00:32two, noting that the prosthetic nose was not necessary. Several people are calling the film
00:36a case of Jewface, which is a term used to characterize the stereotypical or inauthentic
00:41portrayal of Jewish people. Some also question why Cooper, who is not publicly known to be Jewish,
00:46was cast to play a famous Jewish person in the first place. On Wednesday, the family of
00:50Leonard Bernstein released a statement defending Bradley Cooper, saying, quote,
00:54Bradley chose to use makeup to amplify his resemblance, and we're perfectly fine with that.
00:58We're also certain that our dad would have been fine with it as well.
