Rescue workers continue to attempt to free people trapped in rubble after a deadly 7.8 earthquake struck Turkey and Syria. The countries have also endured at least 100 aftershocks.

00:05The death toll between the two countries has risen to more than 5,000 people with countless
00:09more injured.
00:10Rescue efforts continue as an estimated 8,000 people have been pulled from the rubble in
00:14Turkey so far, according to Turkey's president.
00:17And in Syria, a Red Cross worker told CNN that their lack of heavy machinery to move
00:21rubble, in addition to a lack of fuel for ambulances, challenges their rescue efforts.
00:27More than 5,600 buildings were reportedly destroyed in Turkey and thousands in Syria
00:32whose infrastructure was already damaged from years of war.
00:36Now teams from around the world, including the U.S., are headed to Turkey and Syria to
00:40aid in rescue efforts.
