00:00comes in at noon. But we got to talk about Oklahoma versus
00:03Alabama because Oklahoma just kept some dreams alive when it
00:06comes to the postseason with a 24 to 3 victory over Alabama.
00:12Dubs, you and I have talked about this Bama team a number of
00:14times throughout our time together here on college
00:16football today. And then we started to see some really great
00:19play collectively come together for this team. The Heisman
00:22candidate looking very Heisman candidate, if you will. But this
00:25was a performance where Oklahoma's defense made it a
00:28miserable experience for Alabama. And it's not the best
00:32time to be dropping any sort of game. So what did you make of
00:35this victory for Oklahoma and this loss for Alabama?
00:38This is a terrible loss that could not come at a worse time
00:43for the Sooners. They'll salvage this one, take a bit of
00:46confidence away from a 24 to 3. It was a low score as the
00:49Unders comes in. But for the Crimson Tide, they went off at
00:5214 and a half point favorites Jalen Milrow, who I've been
00:55seeing in the prices of all season long, three
00:58interceptions, turn the ball over three times. And that was
01:01not good enough. They never got the offense going. They really
01:04struggled to get the run game. And for Milrow, he just couldn't
01:07get it downfield. So to say that the Oklahoma Sooners were
01:10fantastic, I thought they were pretty good. But it was more a
01:13case of Alabama did not show up ready to play in this one. And
01:18the defense was absolutely stout there for the Sooners. And it's
01:22a sign of the times, especially where we sit here in the regular
01:25season. If you've got a team who's not playing for a lot,
01:28well, if you square it off against Behrmut, they're still
01:30going to come and read a play in this one. So not to say it was a
01:34trap game, but they certainly got caught napping in this one
01:37didn't come to play Memorial Stadium over there in Norman and
01:40the Sooners score a monster success to tail out this season.
01:45Oh, absolutely. And all the energy surrounded around
01:49defense. I'm glad that you painted that picture though,
01:50doves, because realistically, when you look at the stats, it's
01:53not that Oklahoma did too much better than than what Alabama
01:57failed to do per se, the big defensive plays was the was a
02:01massive edge here. One credit I do want to give is that there
02:04was this whole situation of Jackson Arnold, was he ready to
02:08be to lead this team, and then he was the initial leader of
02:11this team, then they pulled him they put into the QB to they put
02:13in the QB three, then they go back to Arnold throughout the
02:16season. While he only picked up 68 through the air, he picked up
02:19131 rushing yards as a quarterback in this matchup to
02:23make sure that this team solidified a W today over a team
02:27that's looking to go to a national championship
02:28potentially.
