The seventh eruption of the volcano on Iceland's Reykjanes Peninsula in the last year certainly didn't go unnoticed.

"The eruption siren went off at 11:04 pm," the filmer, Austin, told WooGlobe. "These videos show the view at 11:17 pm, marking the first sighting of the eruption. The footage also includes a view from the Blue Lagoon roof at 11:32 pm, showcasing the first lava pillars shooting above the mountain crest."

Austin shared that he evacuated from the Blue Lagoon and was sent to Reykjavik.

"We passed the lava field along the way," Austin added. "After the evacuation, I flew my drone recreationally around Reykjavík, capturing the volcano lighting up the sky in the background."
