Police trainees have been reminded to steer clear of any form of wrongdoing, especially corruption, as they embark on their careers as police personnel and officers, says Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) highlighted corruption as the biggest challenge facing the new batch of graduates.

He said during the mega graduation ceremony for 1,747 police trainees from four Police Training Centres (Pulapol) on Friday (Nov 22).

00:00With a sense of pride
00:04Everything depends on the 25 seconds
00:10In the police training programme
00:14where there are 339 officers
00:18293 sergeants
00:21and 1117 constables
00:27including the chief of police
00:30There are 4 training centres in Lumpur, Sentosa, Lungun and Sekamat
00:35We are proud that there are 2 best officers
00:421 sergeant and 3 members who are the best
00:46The families here come in large numbers
00:50There are 1,747 officers and sergeants
00:57That means there are a lot of families
01:02The training centres are full
01:06Alhamdulillah
01:08What I would like to say to the new trainees
01:13is that we have the police, we have the motorbikes
01:20We are ready to serve the society
01:23My main focus is on the integrity of the officers
01:29and to support the government's policies
01:34So to me, not just to the trainees
01:38but to all police officers, including myself
01:41We need to have integrity
01:44We need to show the truth to the police and society
01:50We don't just say it
01:53So to determine the integrity
01:57and to follow the rules
02:02and not to make mistakes
02:04I have instructed the jeep
02:08to be more proactive
02:11It's not just waiting
02:12There used to be a gate to investigate
02:14Now there is no gate
02:15Now the jeep uses a drone to investigate
02:18any officers who are drunk
02:20who leave the police station
02:22who play golf in the police station
02:24We take action
02:26And all the jeep officers
02:30in the contingent, in Bukit Aman, in the area
02:33have moved
02:34Especially the officers that we see
02:37are caught by the jeep
02:40They are involved in illegal activities
02:43like going to karaoke, gambling
02:46and spending money
02:47This is what we take
02:49The jeep has also determined that
02:53these 3 C's, PPA, are implemented
02:56on the trainees who failed the event
02:59So it's useless if the trainees failed the event
03:01It's useless to put the trainees there
03:03In addition to that, the property rights
03:05are also confiscated by the jeep
03:07which I mentioned earlier
03:09to determine that
03:11the property that is owned is qualified
03:14It is qualified to own the property
03:17That is very difficult
03:19If not, we will take action
03:22and before this too
03:23we have taken action
03:24When I first became an IJP
03:28we have taken action
03:29and we have changed
03:30to sell the property that is not qualified
03:33This is the truth
03:35So if we look at it
03:37the actions taken by us
03:41by the jeep itself
03:43is more than being caught
03:45in other cases
03:47For example, the arrest of the SDRM
03:50I think there are at least 30
03:54but the arrest by the jeep itself
03:56the actions by the jeep itself
03:58is indeed high
03:59I do recommend
04:03for this action
04:05the investigators and the jeep
04:07to take action
04:09to determine that
04:11the police and the community
04:13should help the community
04:15not violate the law
04:20We are also not negligent
04:22even the superiors
04:24who are involved
04:25we take action
04:26We will not let it go
04:28There are a lot of people
04:29who are accused in court
04:31There are also superiors
04:32who are accused
04:33We will not let it go
