Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday formally charged Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas, Metro Manila police chief, for allegedly violating guidelines under the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
BGen. Bernard Banac, PNP spokesman, said the Intelligence Group (IG) and the Internal Affairs Service (IAS) filed the case before the Taguig City Prosecutors Office at about 4 p.m.
The criminal and administrative charges were filed against Sinas and other police officials who attended a birthday party for the Metro Manila police chief last week despite the lockdown.
