00:00Before we start, I want to mention about Bob Love, when I get emotional, he was a big guy in my life.
00:09Sam, you know that, really an impressive guy.
00:14I think people remember Bob from basketball, and I really don't.
00:19You know, he was a great basketball player, but I met him when I was young in high school.
00:25I don't know if you knew about Bob, but he had a stuttering problem when I was severe.
00:31I remember him talking to me and really struggling doing it.
00:37I thought how courageous that is, that an NBA player would speak to a bunch of kids.
00:45It was at a park that he was at. I want to say it was in Maywood, but I know it wasn't.
00:50I don't know where I was at, but it was just so impressive to me.
00:54For whatever reason, Bob took a liking to me.
00:59He would give me his shoes through high school.
01:03Just a powerful guy in the city, tough guy.
01:08I think he epitomized Chicago in a lot of ways with his toughness.
01:12How we grew up, Isaiah and Mark Aguirre and all of us, Bob was our guy.
