00:00I had a brother who committed suicide when he was 16.
00:04And I think if he had spoken to someone about what he was feeling,
00:09it would have been a different turnout.
00:12But to also admit that I'm struggling and I don't know where to go
00:17and who to talk to.
00:18And especially in our, I would say, culture,
00:22we don't really open up as young black children.
00:24My siblings were ten years old.
00:28They were little girls.
00:30And every year we celebrate his birthday,
00:32but it's the people that are still left with the aftermath.
00:38They feel it every single day.
00:39And you have to go out in the world and be strong and happy and bubbly and positive,
00:43but it's tough.
00:44So if you don't talk about it, no matter how frustrating it is,
00:48and if you don't get those feelings out, if you don't seek the help,
00:52it's hurtful for you,
00:54but as well as the people around you who love you.
00:57You know what, I think you're amazing at that, Oti.
01:00You go out every day, like your energy is so positive and so light,
01:05like for everything, even for you.
01:07That's like your superpower.
01:08Yeah, it is.
01:10I'm so proud of Danny for opening up.
01:12That is courageous.
01:14It's really brave.
01:16And I do think that he's going to feel better about himself after this.
01:20I'm really, really proud of him.
