00:09Justice Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Saleh ordered the police to complete its investigations

00:16He said the family's application was not meant to frustrate the police probe into the
00:20death.
00:21Instead, Wan Farid said Teo's family deserves justice as well as a sense of closure and
00:27finality.
00:28In 2019, police launched an investigation under Section 342 of the Penal Code for Wrongful
00:34Confinement.
00:35Prior to that, two special investigation teams were set up in 2011 and 2015, but both cases
00:41were classified as requiring no further action or NFA.
00:46Teo died on July 16, 2009, on the fifth floor of Plaza Masalam, Shah Alam, after being questioned
00:52by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
