00:00Obura is the top choice there in the market sitting at plus 900 followed by Davis Thompson
00:08and Denny McCarthy at 25 to 1. Who do we like seeing off on Thursday, Keith?
00:14Well, when we look at the favorites, Aberg obviously tops the list and what he did last
00:19year gives us all pause. But here's the thing, on September 5th, a week after the tour championship,
00:25he had that meniscus surgery. He didn't play golf and he didn't swing the club,
00:29didn't have full swings until late October. He is not tournament tested. So coming in at
00:3410 to 1 with such short odds against the field of guys that have been playing and making birdies
00:39all fall, I'm not quite so sure about that. I'm going to tread lightly. Another favorite,
00:43Brian Harmon, local guy. We have 14 guys in the Sea Island Mafia, guys that live here. I don't
00:48know why they call them the mafia down here, but hey, it makes me laugh, so I got to mention it,
00:52right? But Brian Harmon, he's another guy. You know, he is a past major winner and certainly
00:58a favorite on these grounds. He's coming in at plus 3,000. He hasn't played golf at all.
01:03One of the guys, though, Davis Thompson, he has played a little bit of golf. Las Vegas,
01:07at the Shriners, he finished fifth. And a little side note here, yes, he's a Georgia grad. Yes,
01:11he was once number one amateur player in the world, but his dad is the tournament director,
01:16so he's very familiar with these facilities. For me, I'm going to go a little further down
01:20the board with my early lines, but before I talk about that, hey, what are we looking for
01:24for skill sets this week? There's two different golf courses, but they play very similar, guys.
01:29So when you're mapping out your lineups on DFS or you're picking your betting winners,
01:34make sure you do two things. Number one, we got to favor Bermuda grass putting. This coastal
01:39Bermuda is super, super grainy on these greens, and we have proven over the years that the best
01:44putters perform well and they make a ton of low scores. And the second thing is, is that you've
01:48got to be a great approach player. Now, with the length of these golf courses, everyone says,
01:53well, Keith, you know, everyone's a good wedge player on the PGA Tour, but here's the thing,
01:56over the last 10 winners, seven of those guys have gained the most in proximity against the field
02:03from that 200 plus yard range. Now you say, well, Keith, that's 7,000 yards. How are we getting to
02:08that range? Well, there's a bunch of par threes over 200 yards and all six of the par fives are
02:13reachable, and at plus 200 yards, those guys are scoring there, they're making eagles, they're
02:17making birdies, and that's how they're gaining an edge on the field.
