00:00Australian tourists arrived in Marinduque province aboard the cruise ship Coral Geographer.

00:05The ship docked at Kawit Port, allowing the tourists to explore the beauty of Marinduque.

00:10Philippine Information Agency Member Ropas A. Sapit tells us more.

00:16The Coral Geographer, a cruise ship from Australia, docked at the port of Kawit in the town of Buak in Marinduque,

00:22bringing with it around 80 tourists.

00:24The visitors were warmly welcomed by Provincial Tourism Officer Jose Rino Labay and his team.

00:29who guided them to several tourist attractions across the province.

00:33The tour included stops at the National Museum, Buak Cathedral, a Morion mask-making shop,

00:38and the Buak Public Market where the tourists had the chance to purchase locally made souvenirs from Marinduque.

00:44The arrival of tourists is a huge boost to our tourism program in the province.

00:54It is the best thing that can happen.

00:58According to Labay, the visit was aimed at giving the tourists a chance to experience their traditions,

01:03culture, and daily life of the Marinduqueños, as well as to witness the warm hospitality of the locals.

01:10The tourists expressed their joy and excitement over their first visit to the province.

01:20After leaving Marinduque, the cruise ship proceeded to Oriental Mindoro and Culion Island in Palawan.

01:26The Provincial Government of Marinduque hopes that the arrival of international cruise ships

01:31will further boost the tourism in the province.
