00:00You have had an incredible year, I mean what is something that you are most proud of as you're continuing on in your journey?
00:07Oh, well this year I got the Billboard Rising Star Award in Canada, so that was really exciting and I hit my fourth top ten in the last like under two years, so on the radio, so that was really exciting.
00:19I mean you are non-stop, I mean how do you, I guess, like do you feel any pressure knowing that you have such momentum right now to like kind of keep pushing or is it motivating you?
00:29It's a little bit of both, like there's something so scary. I think a lot of artists are scared to like drop like their sophomore album, the next single, and you're like is it going to live up to it?
00:38But then there's also this like feeling of like, wait, I did it before, so let me just keep hustling and hopefully something is going to hit.
00:45Yeah, and also, like you said, you're doing it before, you've constantly stayed true to who you are, and it worked, so why not keep going?
00:53God, let it work again, please.
00:55100%, and I mean moving forward, like what is something that, like who are the artists that are inspiring you as you keep, you know, like pushing through with your sophomore album coming out?
01:04I mean, I have not, I know she's not going to drop music anytime soon, but Rihanna is going to be my girl forever. She's always going to inspire me just as an overall.
01:14As like a person.
01:16Yeah, as a human, like from everything, from being like iconic. She was named today as like the third biggest pop star. She's my number one, you know.
01:25Loki, she's mine too, I'm going to be honest with you.
01:27Imagine not dropping music for the last decade and being like, bitch, I'm still.
01:30And you're still number three.
01:31I'm still number three, period. I love that for her.
01:33I love it.
01:34Seeing her and then seeing like the rise of like Sabrina Carpenter, Shabell Roane, like it's amazing. Shaboozie, it's amazing seeing these artists that have literally been doing it for like almost a decade, and they're now having their moment.
01:47So that just excites me and like it reminds me like the work, the hard work, like you got to keep putting it in and it's going to one day hit.
01:53And also different too, you know what I mean? Like no one of them is the same.
01:57None of them are different.
01:58There's no cookie cutter.
01:59When it's your time, it's your time.
02:00So I'm really excited for what's to come next for me and for them.
02:04I love it.
02:05Well, thank you so much.
02:06You are so inspiring and I cannot wait to see your next little journey in 2025.
02:10Thanks for having me.
02:11We'll see you soon.
