00:00Congratulations on the final performance, we've got to touch on the win over Gary Anderson,
00:07just talk us through what you were feeling like towards the end of that match, obviously
00:10a lot of pressure on that to get through to the final.
00:12Yeah, I knew I was in a game straight away, right from the off, but when I'm down by four
00:19or five legs I just, it's like they make the deck again, it has spurred me on and it gives
00:25myself that feeling of knowing that you can come back from anything.
00:28Do you feel like you've learnt maybe something else this week that you didn't know before
00:32about coming back from those deficits against people like Mike and obviously world-class
00:37contenders like Gary?
00:39I know I've always got it in me to come back against anyone, but to do it against Mike
00:44when he's playing the best starts of his life against me, and also to do it against Gary,
00:48one of the greats, but yeah that semi-final win was something else.
00:53Luke, when was the turning point for you, was it in that game with Mike Dideka that
00:57was so close and you just suddenly produced that incredible spell and won the game?
01:01It just, I knew from winning that game I could come back against Gary in the semi-final and
01:10obviously I come back against Martin in the first session and then I just ran away with it.
01:16Is this now going to be a venue that you always want to come back to knowing that it's your
01:20first major ranking title?
01:22Yeah, it'll always have a special place in my heart, the crowd throughout the week, they've
01:27been unbelievable, they've been on my side and I can't thank them enough.
01:31Yeah I've done well, but that boy is, he's just different gravy, as well as like, come
01:37on Gary, last round, come on Gary, he's just brilliant, he and his family, you know, come
01:43and cancel a stage like myself, you know, look what he's making for himself, I ain't
01:48got nothing but take my hat off to him.
01:50You were just unstoppable tonight, what's it like standing behind an opponent who just
01:53never seems to miss?
01:54Yeah, I was dancing with the crowd after about 20 legs, I think, 25 legs, but, you know,
02:01you take it with a chin, take it on there and you just move on to the next one.
02:04And it has been a career-changing week for you, does this strengthen your belief that
02:08you're going to get your hands on a major title sooner rather than later?
02:11I'll be happy with a Pro Tour title, to be fair, at this time, I just want a title, move
02:15on from there, you know, bigger and better things, but, I've just got to take my hat
02:20off to Luke, Luke, that boy is just mustard, he's just ridiculous.
02:25I hit a tiny go 180, you hit 60, he's going to go 180, it's just like, oh, leave off mate,
02:31I'm just like, I know he hit a 32 and the whole place went ballistic, I was like, that's
02:35better than my daughter, but yeah, look, I take my hat off, like I said, it's just like,
02:41he comes from council estate like myself, and he's doing the business, he's looking
02:46after his family now, and they're going to live a very good life.
02:50How can you compete with that, it's just like, it's like godly, isn't it, it's just like,
02:56oh, will you leave off?
