00:00In Port of Tobacco in Albay, the sea is crossing to Catanduanes from the mainland Luzon.

00:16Connie, the Tobacco Port is back in operation here in Albay after being hit by a typhoon Pepito.
00:23Connie, the Tobacco Port in Albay is now clear,
00:26and that's why ships are allowed to cross the province of Catanduanes again.
00:31Earlier this morning, Connie, two ships left the province of Catanduanes.
00:35In Catanduanes, DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian,
00:39to make sure that the National Government is focused on the province of Catanduanes.
00:44Catanduanes, Connie, was hit by a typhoon Pepito here in Bicol,
00:48and that's why many houses were destroyed, especially on the seaside.
00:52Secretary Gatchalian also talked to the Governor of Catanduanes, Joseph Cua.
00:57According to Secretary Gatchalian,
00:58they have already made a proposition before the typhoon hit,
01:01that 10,000 family food packs,
01:03but they will add 20,000 more family food packs that will arrive until Thursday.
01:09And there are 25,000 more on Saturday.
01:13The affected residents are also asking for a list for financial assistance.
01:19Connie, last night in Tabaco Port,
01:21we talked to many of the residents of Catanduanes
01:24who were hit by the typhoon here and are worried about what happened to their families
01:29and their homes and properties.
01:31That's why they are campaigning anyway,
01:33because the trip to Catanduanes has already been allowed starting today.

01:43I will wait for the list from the Provincial Government
01:47so that the DSWD can prepare the cash assistance for the damaged houses.
01:53The goal of the DSWD now is to make sure that we can immediately assess the needs
01:58and we can relay the requests of our Provincial Government
02:02to different branches of the PN
02:08Connie, we arrived here early in Tabaco Albay,
02:11but just at 5 in the afternoon,
02:13the Philippine Coast Guard already removed the suspension
02:17for the sea trips to Catanduanes here in Albay.
02:21And this boat we are riding is the third one.
02:23For the trips today, some left early in the morning,
02:26and the resume of the trips here in Tabaco Albay is tomorrow.
02:31But for our countrymen who are planning to return to Catanduanes,
02:34there is already an operation here in Tabaco Albay.
