00:00There are still a lot of people stranded in PITX due to the storm Pepito.
00:06Denise Osorio has the details live.
00:12Audrey, there are still a lot of people stranded early this morning here in Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange or PTEX
00:19due to the cancellation of some flights, especially the buses that cross using RORO.
00:26Some of the people we talked to have been here for two or three days
00:31and most of them are OFWs like Jomar and Kenmark.
00:36According to Jomar, his family arrived here in PITX on November 15 yesterday
00:42but the flights to Mindoro were already canceled.
00:45They are not leaving or staying in a hotel because they are waiting for the announcements of the bus companies.
00:54Sometimes, I travel with stranded passengers.
00:57So now, we are waiting here because my friends in Batangas have already traveled by boat
01:04but the buses here haven't opened yet to get the tickets.
01:09So we are waiting here.
01:14For Kenmark, who is from Saudi Arabia, he is already comfortable in the seats inside PITX.
01:21He also added that he is already in tipid mode because he is spending his own room.
01:28It's okay here. It's safe inside. That's why I'm staying here.
01:35Like what our stranded fellow countrymen said,
01:39this kind of situation will not be avoided due to the typhoon
01:43and they understand that it's better to stay here where it's safe instead of traveling through a dangerous route.
01:51Audrey, currently, most of the flights to Southern Luzon are continuing today
01:57except for some flights that were canceled earlier at 4.30 and 5.00 am
02:04to Legazpi, San Jose, Batangas, and Lucena.
02:08Meanwhile, flights to the north are still continuing today
02:13even though the storm signal number 2 and storm signal number 3 are still high in some parts of the Philippines.
02:20That's according to the ticketing booths of some bus lines here that have flights to La Union and Baguio.
02:28That's the latest news from PITX.
02:31Back to you, Audrey.
02:32Take care of our fellow countrymen who are still traveling.
02:35Thank you very much, Denise Osorio.
02:38You're welcome.
