00:00The Malaysian Corruption Prevention Commission received a report

00:05about a business owner who was suspected of being involved in corruption

00:09related to the Mineral Project in Sabah.

00:11The SPRM said early investigations revealed a link between several agents

00:16and the business owner, causing five of them to be called to record the conversation.

00:22The SPRM urged the public not to speculate

00:26and provided a clear and comprehensive investigation.

00:29As time went by, the SPRM found a source to say

00:32that a former right-hand man of a state-owned mining company in Sabah

00:36was accused of misusing his position through a long-standing relationship

00:40with a broker from Malaysia.

00:42The broker was accused of facilitating a mining company

00:46to obtain license through corruption in several countries.

00:49The source said that the difficult relationship

00:52caused Sabah Minister-General Haji Jinnur

00:55not to renew the involved agents' contracts

00:58due to the tactic of bribery by the agent and broker.

01:02Yesterday, the SPRM took the statement of Sabah Minister-General Shahlemi Yahya,

01:07Adun Kemabung Rubin Balang and Adun Tempasu Arsad Bistari

01:11in connection with the corruption case.

01:13Haji Jinnur stated his willingness to cooperate with the investigation.
