A 32-year-old trailer driver lost his life after his vehicle rear-ended another trailer, slid approximately 100 meters down the left side, and crashed into a house at KM47 along the Ipoh-Lumut road late Saturday (Nov 16) around 11:15pm.

00:1311.15pm on Saturday.
00:16Perak Tengah OCPD Superintendent Hafizul Helmi Hamza said the driver, transporting cement
00:22from Sri Iskandar to Gelongpepuyu, lost control and hit a stationary trailer carrying recycled
00:28paper, which then struck a parked car.
00:31The cement-laden trailer slid further, crashing into a house garage.
00:36Superintendent Hafizul noted that the road was wet and weather conditions clear, but
00:41the area lacked streetlights and CCTV.
00:44The driver sustained fatal injuries, with a post-mortem confirming polytrauma as the
00:49cause of death.
00:51The case is under investigation for reckless driving under Section 41, Subsection 1 of
00:57the Road Transport Act 1987.
