00:00We turn our attention to the battle in Fayetteville, top ranked Texas opens up right now is a 16 and a half point road favorite over the Arkansas Razorbacks.
00:13Last time Arkansas played was a couple of weeks ago.
00:16They got absolutely blown out by Ole Miss by 30 points, an extra week of preparation heading into this battle.
00:24They have won two straight in the series, coach.
00:27Last time these teams played were back in 2021.
00:31We saw Texas dominate Florida as a 21 and a half point home favorite, 49 to 17, Quignor's 333 yards, five touchdowns, no interceptions.
00:42He plays like that.
00:43Texas might very well cover the 16 and a half point number Saturday.
00:48Yeah, they had 12 plays over 20 yards too.
00:50It was the most explosive we've seen them, but they lucked into a third string walk on quarterback.
00:55And they were, they were beyond getting touched by halftime.
00:59They had the game locked up.
01:00So it wasn't a true game that we have to look at.
01:02And I think you got to look what Arkansas has got.
01:04They give you a different approach.
01:06You know, Texas has never done that well against dual threat quarterbacks.
01:09I think Papi at Vanderbilt was hurt and he got 61 yards, but they're coming there against Taylor Green, who's a, is a dual threat quarterback that could run and throw the football.
01:18And that's going to run the clock.
01:19I think you're going to see the same game plan.
01:21We saw earlier and talked about earlier with Georgia Tech, an Arkansas team.
01:24It's got a quarterback that can give Texas some fits and a thing that they haven't done a real good job stopping so that they're not on the field long enough with all these, all these explosive plays.
01:33Cause that's, they got to be on their offense has got to be on the field to make big plays.
01:38I agree.
01:38And Arkansas is another team coach that's fighting for bowl contention.
01:43They have five wins on the year and not a lot was expected in terms of preseason expectations.
01:49They had a win total right in the area of four and a half, five.
01:52Sam Pittman was on the hot seat entering this year.
01:55And all he does is step up as an underdog.
01:58When I see 16, 17 point underdogs at home, I think Arkansas can be live.
02:04They can run the football very physical with the offensive line.
02:08Prior to last week against Jackson-Dort, they were very good in terms of third down defense.
02:13They just ran up against a complete offense in Ole Miss.
02:17But I think they could be within the number.
02:19And I think the game might trend under the 55 and a half.
02:23I'm with you on both points.
02:24I just think Arkansas is going to go out there and keep the score down low.
02:28Cause they're going to have the football.
02:29Texas is ready to play for a championship, but I think Texas is going to beat this team.
02:33I think the talent level is, is, is that such that they're going to be able to win this thing?
02:37Too much offense, but it's going to hold it for ball game.
02:39I think Arkansas on those points, I'm taking those every time.
02:43Have you been impressed with Texas?
02:45I know that they went in earlier in the year, got the victory over Michigan,
02:49snapped their 23 game home winning streak when yours has stepped up.
02:54But when you see certain games, especially a couple of weeks ago against Vanderbilt,
02:58Vanderbilt's good, but not elite.
03:00Obviously surprising this year.
03:02Do you feel like Texas is as complete as they were last year when they made it to
03:07the college football playoff?
03:09Yeah, but Joe, I don't think anybody is totally complete.
03:12I get so excited about one team and also they stink the next week and don't play well.
03:17I don't see anybody dominate from beginning to end.
03:19It's, it's kind of made it exciting.
03:21I will say this Texas is, is playing their best football right now.
03:25And so that makes the way you want to get better as the season goes along.
03:28That's why Georgia will have to play real well to get themselves moving that way.
03:32But if we're going to talk about the team, it's, I mean, Oregon really is a team out
03:35there in the, in the country that's, that's playing tough every week.
03:38But right now in the, we've got some teams in the SEC that are so talented.
03:42They've got so much talent on the field.
03:44You put them in the playoffs with playoff experience and anything can happen.
