00:00A forced evacuation was carried out by the local government of Cagayan Province
00:06due to the storm Ophel.
00:08Immediately, police and village officials were dispatched to the area
00:11for the evacuation of highly vulnerable residents in particular
00:16in Barangay Kasambalangan due to the storm surge.
00:20The local government called for the evacuation of the Tuguegarao LGU
00:23to the residents living in low-lying areas and rivers as a precaution.
00:28According to the authorities, 32 evacuation centers in the town have been opened.
00:33They also added that there are sufficient places and food
00:36that are ready for their fellowmen who will be evacuated to each barangay.
00:40Meanwhile, the City Social Welfare and Development Office
00:44of more than 850 families and almost 3,216 individuals
00:50in the evacuation centers have been notified.
