00:00The government will not help the International Criminal Court, ICC, to investigate the war on drugs of the Duterte administration.
00:12I'm asking the ICC to hurry up and if possible, they can come here and start the investigation tomorrow.
00:22If that's what PRRD wants, we will not stop the ICC. We will not help them.
00:32But if they agree to talk to the ICC, it's up to them. We have no decision on that.
00:44According to the Department of Justice, even though the Philippines has left the Rome Statute that established the ICC in 2019,
00:51we are still a member of the International Criminal Police Organization or INTERPOL.
00:56So if the ICC will let the Interpol go through the process and give a red notice to the Interpol in the Philippines,
01:02our government is obligated to support it.
01:05The DOJ and PNP are also investigating the war on drugs.
01:09This includes what former President Duterte said about the killing, planting evidence, and the so-called reward system to the police.
01:22All of the testimony that was given will be taken in and will be assessed to see what, in legal terms,
01:32what is the real meaning and consequence of some of the statements made by PRRD.
01:41Now that will result in a case being filed here in the Philippines.
01:46We will just have to see. The DOJ will have to make that assessment.
