00:00Ram and Paul and their dad.
00:02We're running 50 miles in the month of November
00:05to raise money for Maddy's Giving Tree.
00:07It's the third year in a row where we've done something like this,
00:09so it's something that we really enjoy doing as a family.
00:11And we're 11 days into it now.
00:13And I wanted really the boys to understand
00:15how much they can help people out.
00:17Why are we running? What do we want to do?
00:20To give Christmas.
00:21That's right. So we just want everyone to just have the best Christmas.
00:23We've run three miles to help us raise £500.
00:28Thank you everyone for sponsoring us.
00:30What are we running for? Who are we raising money for?
00:33For the kids to have a good Christmas.
00:34Well done.
00:35Thanks, Mum. Let's go!
00:36Yes, thank you.
00:38And we know that we can help people in the local area by doing it as well,
00:42so that's the key thing for us.
00:44The things we've done in the past have been for national charities,
00:47so we really wanted to be able to impact on that whole community as well.
00:51So there's a Giving Tree set up in the St Giles Centre in Elgin.
00:55And on that is a list of presents that go to people who are in need.
01:00So that's a list of maybe some gifts.
01:03Also, they provide food parcels as well in the month of December as well,
01:07and it just means that everyone gets something for Christmas.
01:09So last year we were the Secret Santas,
01:11and then this year we were thinking around about what could it be.
01:15So we've been singing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,
01:17we've been running around as well to try and get bits of that together.
01:21It's not going well so far, has it?
01:24We're not very good singers, to be honest with you.
01:26Runners, yes, not singers.
01:27I'm just proud, so proud of them.
01:29There's never, for wee boys to take this on
01:34and to just actually meet every single night with no moans and groans
01:37and actually look forward to it, I'm so proud of them.
01:41How much have you raised?
01:42Eight.
01:43Eight hundred pounds?
01:44Eight hundred pounds.
