00:00Ding-dong! The Malaysian government is going to pay you back!
00:02Do you have a sum of money in your country's hands, but you don't know about it?
00:05As of October 30th this year,
00:06the amount of money that our country has no one to accept has accumulated to RM12.81 billion.
00:11We are waiting for you to receive it.
00:13The total amount of money that has not been requested by the company and firm
00:18is RM17 billion.
00:21The remaining amount of money that has not been requested
00:24is RM12.8 billion as of October 31st, 2024.
00:30The second in-charge, Amir Hanzar, said in the Parliament yesterday
00:33that domestic companies, banks and other financial institutions
00:36have transferred RM17 billion of unaccepted money to the National Accounting Bureau.
00:40Among them, RM42 billion has been successfully retrieved by qualified people.
00:45Where did these money come from?
00:47Do I have money, but I don't know about it?
00:49Of course it's possible.
00:50As far as I know, these money may have been transferred to the National Accounting Bureau
00:54due to the change in the address of the beneficiary,
00:58the death of the beneficiary, or other reasons for which the bank account is no longer active.
01:02For example, a bank account that has not been used for more than 7 years
01:05or a transaction account that has not been used for more than 2 years
01:08will be transferred to the National Accounting Bureau.
01:10You still need to check it from time to time.
01:12Other sources also include unpaid regular deposits,
01:16interest, insurance compensation, salary deposit, etc.
01:19The second theory is that since 2022,
01:22the National Accounting Bureau has set up 184 service stations across the country
01:26to improve public awareness
01:27and encourage more people to take advantage of these forgotten funds.
01:31Amir Khanja pointed out that the government is studying
01:33the latest data from the National Accounting Bureau
01:36to find the legal owners or heirs of the funds
01:39and directly deposit the funds into their accounts.
01:41But before the government implements these measures,
01:44how can the people find unaccounted money
01:46and claim it back?
01:49Actually, there are two simple ways.
01:50The first is to go to the National Accounting Bureau
01:53Jabatan Accounting Negara Malaysia
01:55and just bring your bank account and credit card
01:58and hand it over to the counter staff.
01:59Soon, you will know if you have unaccounted money
02:03and apply for a transfer on the spot.
02:05If you think it's too troublesome,
02:06you can actually search directly online.
02:08The National Accounting Bureau launched the e-Goomis online system in 2018.
02:13All you have to do is go to this website
02:15and click on the register icon in the upper right corner of the page.
02:19Then click on the unaccounted money in the upper left corner
02:23to search for unaccounted money.
02:25Enter your ID number
02:27and you can find out if you or your family
02:29have any unaccounted money
02:31and apply for a transfer.
02:33But remember,
02:33you can only search for one account twice a day.
02:36In addition, the government has passed a reform bill in April this year.
02:40Once unaccounted money has exceeded 10 years,
02:42these unaccounted money
02:44will be automatically transferred to the national treasury
02:46and contributed to the country.
02:48So don't delay,
02:49and start immediately.
02:50Have you ever checked if you have unaccounted money
02:53and finally claim it back?
02:54Please leave a comment to share your experience.
02:56If you like this video,
