00:00Jeff Bezos just made his latest investment and it's in a company that wants to make robots that
00:04can do everything from fold your laundry to put eggs in a carton. The company is called
00:08Physical Intelligence and it was founded just this year. Bezos was one of the lead investors
00:13in the company's 400 million dollar funding round that was announced on Monday. Other investors
00:18include Lux Capital and OpenAI. So what's the big deal with Physical Intelligence? After all,
00:22there are already a lot of companies that make robots. Well, Physical Intelligence says that
00:26its robots actually learn to do new tasks. That would be a big deal because a lot of startups
00:31today just make robots that can do one thing really well. Picture a robot dispensing just
00:36the right amount of an ingredient behind the scenes at a restaurant, for example. Physical
00:40Intelligence says that its technology is still in its infancy, but as one of its founders told
00:45the New York Times, the goal is to produce a model called Pi Zero that will get better over
00:50time and thus create robots that will learn as they perform more tasks.
