00:00The Department of Health is now focused on the Typhoon Fatigue.
00:05Not only the affected residents, but also those who are responding.
00:10The full force of their hospital services will be ensured throughout Luzon to meet the needs.
00:17FRM Gaitos has a national news report for Radyo Pilipinas.
00:23The Department of Health is now focusing on the rising issue of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
00:28and now known as Typhoon Fatigue, of evacuees and emergency responders.
00:33According to Radyo Pilipinas' Secretary of Health, Ted Herbosa,
00:36this is not just in the areas, but also in the infrastructure that was affected by the typhoon.
00:43This is also a big blow to the well-being of the affected residents.
00:49We are also victims. We are the ones who are responding.
00:52But we are also victims. People should understand.
00:55Maybe that's what they're mentioning about Typhoon Fatigue.
00:58Because those who are responding to that, I bet you the local DRRMO, that's fatigue and stress.
01:06Maybe that's what the agencies are mentioning when they describe this new entity called Typhoon Fatigue.
01:14This is a new entity.
01:16Some of the DOH's systems implemented to address Typhoon Fatigue to emergency and health responders
01:23are the Psychosocial Intervention and Relief System,
01:27with the help of the private sector and some non-government organizations.
01:32This is a reminder to the police and rescue teams to think about themselves.
01:38They need to rest.
01:40Meanwhile, Herbosa also cried that the various DOH hospitals in Luzon are ready to evacuate
01:46to the lobbies affected by the next typhoon.
01:50In DOH, we have a deep bench. We have 87 hospitals.
01:54So we top the hospitals that are not affected to respond and help the health teams in other regions
02:02that are already affected.
02:04If there's a typhoon like that in Isabela, the doctors will also be affected, right?
02:11As of now, DOH continues to send various health services to evacuate those who are still affected by calamities.
02:20From PBS Radio Philippines News, I'm Ephraim Gaytos for Balitang Pambansa.
