00:00More than P10 Billion Pesos were lost by the flood victims in the country according to the Department of Agriculture.

00:07It is expected to increase due to the effects of the Nica Flood.

00:17The Department of Agriculture or DA promised assistance for those affected by the following floods in the country.

00:25According to the DA, more than P10 Billion Pesos were lost by the flood victims in the country according to the Department of Agriculture.

00:33According to the data, almost 60% of the losses were caused by the floods that amounted to P6 Billion Pesos.

00:41The Commodity Banner Programs of the Department of Agriculture have buffer seeds in every region.

00:49That is the main thing that we are mobilizing so that we could provide immediate support.

00:54But as to when it is cleared and they would really assess the extent of the damage,

01:01we are also accepting proposals for rehabilitations that we are providing under the Quick Response Fund.

01:08It is expected that the damage to agriculture will increase, especially after the Nica Flood.

01:14Because of this, there is a high possibility that the production of rice in the country will decrease.

01:19Meanwhile, the procession of floods inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, UPAR, has not changed.

01:26In the Sinagawang Quezon City Journalist Incorporated Forum,

01:29Annalisa Solis, the Head of Climate Monitoring and Prediction of Pag-asa, said that this happened in 1951,

01:38where there were seven floods.

01:41Six floods entered the country in the same month of 1948.

01:46Solis said that what the country is experiencing now is a La Niña-like condition

01:51where the probability of rain from floods is increasing.

01:55As of now, the following floods that we are seeing are embedded in the Intertropical Convergence Zone.

02:03It means that our ITC set is very active because usually, these are the breeding places of tropical cyclones.

02:13This month of November, three more floods entered the country, including the Marseille Flood, Nica Flood, and Ophel Flood.

02:21Pag-asa will continue to be alert because it is expected that two to three more floods will hit the country by the end of the year.
