A total of 80,375 human-wildlife conflict incidents have been reported along the 665km East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) line from 2018 to this year, said Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.

During Minister’s Question Time in Parliament on Tuesday (Nov 12), the Natural Resources and Environment Sustainability Minister emphasised the seriousness of the issue, noting that it demands a comprehensive approach to mitigate human-wildlife conflicts while safeguarding the country’s biodiversity.

He added that Perhilitan and the ECRL have signed an agreement to tackle these conflicts effectively.
