00:00Welcome to MizMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the Top 20 Cutest Pokémon.
00:22Number 20, Deerling.
00:24Introduced in the fifth generation, this fawn Pokémon will have you, well, fawning
00:29over it in record time.
00:31See, Deerling is the kind of darling first stage that's just asking to stay unevolved.
00:43Everything from its knobby legs to its tuft-like tail to the flower resting on its head feels
00:49tailor-made to steel hearts.
01:00That's not all.
01:02Deerling's color palette also changes with the time of year, and each of them are so
01:06eye-catching, we simply can't choose a favorite.
01:14No matter if it's spring, summer, fall, or winter, Deerling is always in season.
01:20Number 19, Togepi.
01:22Somehow, a Pokémon that spent most of the anime curled up in Misty's arms still managed
01:28to win over audiences.
01:29Then again, are you really surprised?
01:32Just look at Togepi and try to tell it no.
01:42There's not a trainer alive who can stay mad at such an adorable little thing, especially
01:47when it smiles back at you.
01:49Misty really lucked out with this one, although it wasn't an easy adoption.
01:59Togepi is so beloved, it's been causing trainer disputes since its anime debut.
02:04That's right, Togepi's sunny-side-up personality thawed even Team Rocket's hearts.
02:10It's gotta count for something.
02:17Number 18, Piplup.
02:19Anyone on the prowl for a cute Sinnoh partner?
02:22Look no further.
02:29Piplup is stylish, plump, and positively beaming with personality.
02:34The rounded penguin look is hard to pass up, but the best part is the tuxedo detailing.
02:40The only thing better than a cute penguin is a cute penguin that looks like it's wearing
02:45a suit.
02:46Piplup's dapper attire is a winning formula no matter how you look at it, and clearly,
02:57Pokémon knew it.
02:58In the anime, Dawn famously gave her Piplup an Everstone, ensuring it'd stay small and
03:05delightful forevermore.
03:06You won't hear us complaining about it.
03:11Number 17, Sobble.
03:14You'll want to pack some tissues when setting off with this Galar starter.
03:22As a Pokémon known for shedding some tears, Sobble may leave you crying.
03:27But not out of sadness, no.
03:29On the flip side, the water type's quirky demeanor will leave you dabbing your eyes
03:34from shit and dearment.
03:36Sobble's definitely worth the tears, though.
03:38Its lack of self-confidence is so captivating, you're pretty much forced to raise it up into
03:43a strong, confident Inteleon.
03:52Although that's assuming you can part ways with Sobble's delightfully small frame.
03:57Believe us, it's easier said than done.
04:03Number 16, Mimikyu.
04:05Pikachu is inarguably the very face of Pokémon.
04:09It's cool, powerful, iconic, and above all, completely irresistible.
04:14Mimikyu is the same thing, it's just different.
04:23The references to Pikachu are plain to see, but beneath the disguise, Mimikyu is just
04:28a normal Pokémon in search of a trainer's love.
04:31If that doesn't break your heart a million times over, nothing will.
04:44To summarize, Mimikyu pulls all the best qualities of Pikachu's design and then adds a tragic
04:50backstory to the mix for maximum pulling on the heartstrings.
04:55Remind us how anyone can hate this little guy again.
05:02Number 15, Clefairy.
05:05There's just no competing with a Pokémon that has the ability Cute Charm.
05:10It's literally designed to be cute.
05:18Take, for example, Clefairy.
05:20It's got the two surefire traits that always make for a precious Pokémon, pink and small.
05:27If that's not enough for you, Clefairy's pre-evolution Clever is even pinker and smaller.
05:38Surprising absolutely no one, Clever has the Cute Charm ability too.
05:43Not that it or Clefairy really needs it.
05:46They're both doing just fine on their own.
05:48Plus, they're also shaped like stars, just to really prove how out of this world they
05:54are.
06:01Number 14, Squirtle.
06:03Kanto starters are as classic as it gets, but no matter if you're looking at it through
06:08rose-tinted lenses or Squirtle Squad sunglasses, this water type is something else.
06:21Instead of loud or unexpected design flourishes, Squirtle is simply a baby blue turtle with
06:27a brown shell and stubby limbs, that's all.
06:31Ironically, that's also all it needs to completely sweep the board where adorableness
06:37is concerned.
06:41There's just something about Squirtle's delightful smirk that makes it seem like it's
06:48always in a good mood.
06:50Although, when you're as appealing as a Squirtle, there can't be much to be upset
06:54over anyway.
07:03Number 13, Togedemaru.
07:06We've been over Pikachu's impact on the series, so it shouldn't be too shocking
07:11to hear there's more than one copycat out there.
07:14That's not to say Togedemaru is a knockoff by any means.
07:18Taking some visual cues from porcupines, Togedemaru earns itself a steel typing and a whole lot
07:25of cuteness capital.
07:27The grays, yellows, and whites of its color palette play off each other extraordinarily
07:33well.
07:35Paired with Togedemaru's impossibly fetching eyes, and you have a slam dunk of a Pokemon.
07:42It doesn't evolve, but it doesn't have to.
07:44No need to fix what isn't broken, right?
07:50Number 12, Ralts.
07:53Psychic type?
07:54Whatever.
07:55While Ralts' latent abilities are formidable, you'll be catching one for a different reason.
08:01That being, it's just too dainty to skip over.
08:10Ralts single-handedly confirms that a bowl cut isn't a fashion nightmare.
08:16At least not when it's paired with a timid, foot-tall Pokemon.
08:25Its trademark red horn lets it sense emotions.
08:28So whenever you're happy, which is gonna be always when you're around such a charming
08:33partner, Ralts is happy too.
08:36On second thoughts, maybe that's why Ralts tend to hide away from bustling places.
08:41They're so popular, they'll be trampled on sight.
08:57Number 11, Teddiursa.
08:59The quickest way to get your hands on one of the most enticing Pokemon of all time is
09:03to carry around some honey.
09:06Like a moth into a flame, Teddiursa can't get enough of the sweet stuff.
09:15That's why they're always licking their paws, and also why they're easily among the most
09:20winsome Pokemon ever.
09:26Sporting a clean look and some nods towards the crescent moon, Teddiursa is basically
09:32a living stuffed animal.
09:33Or rather, a walking, talking teddy bear.
09:37The pitch writes itself.
09:38No need to hibernate, go catch a Teddiursa now.
09:42You won't regret it.
09:51Number 10, Tinkerdan.
09:53A smiling, hot pink Pokemon is hard enough to ignore.
09:56A smiling, hot pink Pokemon carrying an oversized hammer?
10:00It's pretty much impossible.
10:11Tinkerdan's cutesy aesthetic clashes with its hulking weapon of choice in the best way
10:17Yes, the hammer can still be used to pound enemies silly, especially given Tinkerdan's
10:29high attack stats, but because it's held by such a precious little thing, it just makes
10:34Tinkerdan that much more appealing, at least when it's on your team.
10:41Still, in all matters relating to cuteness, Tinkerdan hits the nail on the head.
10:47Number 9, Mudkip.
10:49As the mudfish Pokemon, you'll find this hoenn starter rolling in swamps, swimming in oceans,
10:56or putting its water gun to good use against enemy trainers.
10:59But there's one important similarity between them all.
11:03Mudkip is jaw-droppingly lovable in each and every one.
11:07What's this little Mudkip up to?
11:13No matter the time, no matter the place, Mudkip and its unbothered personality is all but
11:18guaranteed to have your heart skipping a beat.
11:21Just look at its tiny fins.
11:23Or its orange cheeks.
11:30Really, there's not a single part of Mudkip that isn't worth swooning over.
11:35Swimming in the mud has never been so tempting.
11:45Number 8, Yamper.
11:47We only need three words to sell you on this one.
11:50Electric, quirky, Pokemon.
11:53Need we say any more?
11:59Yamper is every lovable part of man's best friend, blended together with the most enamoring
12:05parts of Pokemon.
12:07It's such a perfect match, it's almost unfair.
12:16Don't worry, Yamper didn't get the name of Poppy Pokemon for nothing.
12:21To really drive it home, it has a signature ability called Ball Fetch.
12:26That's right, Yamper doesn't just look the part, it acts it too.
12:30Though, given how quickly fans flock to this 8th generation pup, that's hardly a shock.
12:40Number 7, Furret.
12:42Ah, Johto, home to ancient ruins, mysterious caverns, and most importantly of all, the
12:48most eye-catching critter that Pokemon's ever designed.
12:52Yes, we're talking about Furret.
13:00Some trainers scoffed when they saw its pre-evolution sentret in Johto's early roots, but those
13:06who put the effort in were rewarded with a furry friend that puts every other pocket
13:10monster to shame.
13:18Nothing else in the whole dex matches Furret's earliest expression.
13:22Plus, it's got a bushy tail that's just asking to be cuddled with.
13:26Suffice it to say, it's never a bad idea to nap a sentret.
13:35Number 6, Rowlet.
13:37These days, starter Pokemon are held to an increasingly high bar, and that bar is Rowlet.
13:44It's an owl, it's round, and it's flown its way up the pecking order to become one of
13:57Pokemon's most popular creations.
14:00The leaf bowtie does some serious heavy lifting, but it also helps that Rowlet is just the
14:05right size for hugging.
14:07It's not exclusive to the Alola games, either.
14:11Phantom Man brought the Alolan grass-type back as one of the starters for Pokemon Legends
14:18Arceus.
14:20With all that in mind, it makes sense why Ash never evolved his Rowlet.
14:24It's perfect just the way it is.
14:31Number 5, Wooper.
14:33What's got no arms, blue skin, and a big, goofy grin plastered on its face at all times?
14:39One of the very best Johto Pokemon, that's what.
14:47We know, that's high praise.
14:49But even throwing aside its petite stature, Wooper still handily paddles past its competition
14:55thanks to its dopey personality.
14:57The blank stare and energetic smile are super-effective heart-melters.
15:09All it takes is a single passing glance, and you'll be a Wooper lover for life.
15:14No attract needed.
15:16We'd say we're sorry, but we're really not.
15:19Wooper deserves every bit of love it gets.
15:23Number 4, Pikachu.
15:25As it turns out, the face of Pokemon is pretty darn adorable.
15:30It makes sense when you realize Pikachu was hand-picked because of its widespread appeal.
15:39It's cool, but not edgy.
15:41Powerful, but not aggressive.
15:43And of course, cute without even trying.
15:45Nowadays, the lightning bolt tail and puffy red cheeks are pretty much staples of the
15:51franchise.
15:59Pikachu is just that irresistible.
16:01Its baby form, Pichu, is pretty much the same thing, just smaller.
16:06Yes, it's as precious as it sounds.
16:09Oh, and when Pikachu and Pichu come together, it's a cuteness overload the likes of which
16:14Pokemon may never see again.
16:22Number 3, Mew.
16:31You don't need psychic powers to tell that Mew is head and shoulders above just about
16:35every other Pokemon in existence.
16:37Well, not literally.
16:39Clocking in at just over a foot tall, Mew is the definition of short and sweet.
16:45It doesn't need a ton of design flourish to stand out.
16:49Its pink color palette and breathtaking cry do plenty on their own.
17:01If you're lucky enough to see it floating around, you'll agree that the sight is downright
17:06mesmerizing.
17:07We say if because Mew has remained one of the most difficult Pokemon to obtain across
17:12the generations.
17:14Even the game designers know Mew is too cute to handle.
17:25Number 2, Eevee.
17:33Known as the evolution Pokemon, the first-generation normal type has the most branching forms of
17:38any pocket monster ever.
17:40And yet, you'll never want to evolve Eevee into any of them.
17:45While it was initially designed to serve as a blank slate for future evolutions, Eevee's
17:55dog-like appearance is too enamoring to say goodbye to.
18:00That little tuft on its head is just begging to be pet.
18:03Then there's the ombre tail, perky ears, and fluffy mane.
18:07Honestly, we could talk about Eevee all day, so we'll just leave it at that before we get
18:13any more carried away.

18:33If you're on your phone, make sure you go into your settings and switch on notifications.
18:38Number 1, Vulpix.
18:40At all odds, Pokemon delivered their most ravishing design of all way back in the first-generation,
18:47and they've been trying to match it ever since.
18:49Spoiler, they can't.
18:56Vulpix is unbeatable, we don't make the rules.
19:00With its subdued color scheme and poofy fur, this Firefox is the epitome of all things
19:06cute and cuddly.
19:08Or in the case of its equally amazing Alolan form, light and fluffy.
19:17The fact that it got a regional variant at all just proves that they just don't make
19:22them like Vulpix anymore.
19:24Even today, when there's over a thousand Pokemon and counting, Vulpix's innate charm
19:30still trumps them all.
19:37Which Pokemon has stolen your hearts?
19:39Let us know in those comments below.
20:07And as always, thanks for watching.
20:08Bye for now.
