00:00For RMK 13 that is being prepared now, the Ministry of Economy is not only holding a session on management with the state government,
00:19we are also making sure that the plan is also related to the strategic industries.
00:30So the session today is related to the electronics industry, aerospace industry and also the automotive industry.
00:41And this process will continue to ensure that the government can implement the government's plan and also the industry's plan
00:56with the main goal of ensuring that our industry moves from the industry that installs to the industry that designs and creates.
01:08So the theme of RMK 13 for the industry is the transition according to the achievement of Malaysia, which is expected to be recognized as a developed and highly competitive country in 2028.
01:27So we also want to make sure that the change in the industry structure also happens.
01:34And I am grateful because of the management that happened earlier, it seems that there is a good balance between the government's plan and also the industry's plan.
01:53What will happen next is how the government and industry work together in the form of joint programs to move in that direction.
02:23I think generally the government's focus has always been to tap into the opportunity presented by the data center book.
02:38What we want to avoid is Malaysia continues to attract data center, but we are not able to get into the data center value chain and supply chain.
02:53We have been looking at how to work on a few catalytic interventions to create the ecosystem so that by the end of this decade, Malaysia can also participate in the whole data center value chain.
03:18First to benefit from the existing and future data centers in the country, but more importantly for us to begin exporting our own data centers around the world.
03:34You also mentioned that you are already importing 30% of our natural gas supply into the country.
03:43So where is the natural gas coming from? Is it going to be imported directly?
03:49The consideration about our natural gas situation is part and parcel of NETR.
03:59When we work on NETR, that already takes into account a few milestones.
04:09First in terms of the demand and supply of natural gas into Peninsular Malaysia.
04:16Second is the Sheldon retirement of coal-fired plants in early 2030s and another one in 2040s.
04:26Because these two milestones will determine the net supply and demand for natural gas.
04:35So NETR objectives and targets towards 2050 has already reflected the situation.
