00:00Confused about what's going on in the last few days in Brampton between pro-India groups and Sikhs?
00:07Welcome to part one of our breakdown. Are Hindus being attacked in Hindu temples in Canada?
00:12Let's take a closer look. November 3rd.
00:16On the afternoon, members of Sikhs for Justice or SFJ held a peaceful protest outside the Hindu
00:23Sabha Mandir. They were on public property and their protest wasn't against the Mandir or the
00:30Hindu community. It was against Indian government officials who were arriving to hold a consular
00:36clinic. These Indian government officials are tied to the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijar,
00:42a Canadian Sikh. Credible allegations of a potential link between agents of the government
00:48of India and the killing of a Canadian citizen, Hardeep Singh Nijar. And it's hard to accept that
00:56people responsible for murder are being given a platform here. SFJ has held similar protests at
01:03Gurudwaras that have also given Indian officials a platform. This makes it clear that their protest
01:10is solely against Indian officials, not religion. But here's what happened next. The Mandir's
01:17pandit or priest encouraged people to get violent with SFJ protesters. Fueled by this,
01:24the attackers planned to grab bricks and sticks to launch their attack. Here is a clip of this.
01:30Then the pro-India counter protesters came out of the Mandir parking lot and started to attack the
01:49SFJ members. As the attackers charged, they shouted, long live Lawrence Bishnoi, referencing
01:56an Indian gangster who's part of a violent campaign against Sikh Canadians.
02:00They even went as far as threatening to kill the SFJ members.
02:27Naturally, the SFJ protesters defended themselves against these attacks,
02:31and the pro-India group quickly retreated back to the Mandir after being scared off.
02:36As you've seen from the clear evidence, the events of November 3rd tell a different story.
02:42This wasn't an attack on Hindu temples or the Hindu community. SFJ members peacefully protested
02:51against Indian government officials, not against Hindu places of worship or individuals. The actual
02:58attack came from the pro-India protesters who escalated the situation with violence.
