00:00So what does it feel like to have this finally coming out?
00:03I mean I first auditioned like two years ago so to be here now it was it was kind of funny because
00:10I know and I know a few of the other cast mates have um said this but when you're there and you're
00:15filming it it felt like just our own little world almost and so to know that this is being released
00:22to the world is just so amazing and strange for me but so so cool what did you think when you
00:31first got that audition and kind of heard that this was all happening when I saw the audition
00:37sent to me by my agent in the email I said I am putting my back into this I'm putting
00:41all my love into this for sure and apparently I did I guess um I'm here now um but yeah it
00:50meant everything to me to preserve a lot of the original character and pay homage to that from
00:56the original show while also making a lot of it my own and bringing my own authenticity to it as well
01:03how many times did you see the stage show to kind of prepare and get it in your head
01:07so I I watched it um when I was younger for the first time about 12 actually on stage
01:14and then I did watch it on YouTube hopefully that's not a bad thing to say I'm so sorry
01:19go see live theater this is not me telling you to watch the YouTube version go see live theater
01:23please and thank you but I had such a short amount of time not enough time to go and buy
01:28tickets to the show or the funds at the time um but go see live theater that's my answer um but
01:34that was my when in the audition process I re-watched it on YouTube to refresh my brain of
01:40the story because it had been a while since I had seen it you're the first wheelchair user to actually
01:45have this role I mean what does that mean to you to be breaking that that barrier it means so so
01:50much to me to be representation for so many people out there so many disabled people out there and to
01:57hopefully let them know to advocate for themselves ask for your accommodations never feel like you're
02:03asking for too much and to do your best to follow your dreams and and yeah make make other disabled
02:11friends along the way because community is also important thank you so much congratulations
