00:00We have a president-elect, and I'm one of those people,
00:03I mean, I revere the institution.
00:06I revere this country, I revere the presidency,
00:09and I want our president to succeed.
00:13And our job, my job, is not to wake up every single day
00:16and get a crowbar and try to put it in the spokes
00:18of the wheel of the Trump administration.
00:21And so, again, in that spirit of an open hand,
00:24not a closed fist, that's how we want to proceed.
00:29That said, fourth point, I'm not naive either,
00:34and we're pragmatic, and we will stand firm.
00:39I am reminded, there's a great old poem about,
00:43you know, the winds may howl, but I will not be swept away.
00:48This notion that we have to plant our feet.
00:50And I remember, I'm not, you know,
00:53I've been here long enough, you know,
00:54having worked with the previous Trump administration,
00:59I'm not naive about those winds, and they did howl.
01:03We were involved in over 100, well, in fact,
01:06we were involved in specifically 122 lawsuits
01:09with the Trump administration.
01:11We know their playbook, we know what they're going to do.
01:15I talked a lot about the campaign,
01:16and I appreciated Kamala Harris's closing message
01:18about Donald Trump has an enemies list,
01:22and I, she said, have a to-do list.
01:25I said, I would make it a modest addendum to that.
01:27So did Donald Trump.
01:28That to-do list is laid out in a 922 page document
01:32of which there's 270 specific points
01:35that he has publicly supported in that Project 2025 document
01:41which 75% of its authors,
01:43and there's a multitude of authors,
01:45work with the Trump administration.
01:46None of us are naive when he said he knew nothing about it.
01:50That is a to-do list, that is a playbook.
01:52The Heritage Foundation and others backing that playbook.
01:56You build on that, not naive about what to anticipate.
