00:04brand-new Haya toys GI Joe exquisite mini beachhead
00:30no one has ever seen beachhead aka Wayne Sneed in snap he thinks that anger is a
00:37waste of time and energy that results in a loss of logic on a mission or off he
00:41is rarely seen in public without his buckle of a mask a choice he made in
00:45order to seem more imposing his combination of patience and a thirst
00:48for excellence makes him both an elite Ranger and a formidable teacher and is
00:52meticulously throughout weapon designs and gear mods that are remarkably known
00:56for their insight and precision a legend among GI Joe rookies for his
01:00unflinching training methods he expects as much from his trainees as he expects
01:04from himself he may not be universally loved but he's universally respected
01:08Sneedin's hardened outlook extends to missions as well he delights in squatting
01:13in festering jungles for days at a stretch to wait for the perfect moment
01:16to ambush the enemy the crowd isn't the only thing going bananas just before
01:21of course we get a closer look new Haya toys GI Joe exquisite mini beachhead
01:24let's grab the tape measure and let's see how tall the figure stands while
01:27doing this as well like to thank the folks over at Haya toys that did once
01:29again provide this sample beachhead should be available right now along with
01:33the earlier looked at firefly the figure though is gonna stand about the same as
01:36firefly at four inches in height or at beachhead is gonna be about ten
01:39centimeters tall you gotta really feel bad for beachhead aside from the earlier
01:43looked at exquisite mini snake eyes he's the only Joe so far that we've gotten
01:47from the folks over at Haya in fact most recently we've only been really looking
01:51at Cobras here's what beachhead first looks like with Cobra commander here's
01:54also what he looks like with a much taller destro and just recently as well
01:58here's what the figure looks like with firefly by no surprise beachhead does
02:02come include a rectangular display stand that now looking at this it seems to be
02:06the same stand that we got with destro firefly and Cobra commander also had
02:10matching display stands so it seems to be the case that they have two different
02:14moles that they're alternating between the characters I've taken the liberty
02:17already of installing the other three display bases together not really
02:21necessarily matters but I think this one was firefly this was Cobra commander
02:24it doesn't matter they're matching of course and this was the one here for
02:27destro if you're looking at the one from beachhead it is identical and all it is
02:31is really required to take yourself these eye brackets we get two of these
02:34I'm only really gonna need the one just attach them onto the bottom of the base
02:38and then you're gonna attach them then on now you don't have to go the
02:41configuration I'm going with right now I'm doing this simply right now just
02:44because I want to show you guys a perfect rectangle using of course the
02:48four display bases now the more that you get the more display bases you'll
02:51get and the bigger the terrain you can actually build just really like those
02:55move them off to the side of course let's look at the remaining things that
02:58come in clear with beachhead already out of the packaging the figure does come
03:01include with trigger firing finger hands but but he also does come include a
03:07couple of gripping hands as well now he has say a hand specifically kind of
03:11designed for holding like the crossbow but ideally you really could just use
03:15the ones that he has right now these extra ones may not even be necessary on
03:18your part to swap them out with the hands that he has pop them off those
03:21forearms the figure does also come with a concealed pistol although it's not so
03:25concealed now this was actually holstered already on the figure when you
03:28take him out of the packaging in fact of the things that are on his body
03:32currently well I guess I've already removed this but he has one other thing
03:36down to the bottom of his leg he has himself a sheathed knife I can't unsheath
03:40it so this seems to be the only thing that's packing on the character when you
03:43first remove him from his plaques his plastic packaging the pistol itself
03:47looks good only obviously you can get that and put it into his hands the hands
03:51for these the plastic for these hands I should say is a fairly soft plastic so
03:54it's pretty easy to get them actually into his hands it's got himself a tiny
03:57little pistol now again if you don't like this pistol you want something a
03:59little bit larger you just take that and you holster on the side of his leg
04:03seem to be all thumbs in this review there we go sliding in his place the
04:07other thing I didn't mention already is that he does have a knife a knife sheath
04:11but you can't remove it it's molded in place kind of wish that they could have
04:15made a way to make that removable but I mean with all the other things the
04:17figure has at his disposal is a knife that's permanently molded it was like
04:21gonna bum me out not really if it did I mean I'd be pretty pathetic but anyways
04:25though the figure does also come in clear with a crossbow now I'm looking at
04:28this crossbow and I'm thinking myself right away you're probably thinking the
04:30same thing scarlet's perhaps they might even in fact use this mold again for
04:34release of an exquisite mini version of scarlet if that's the case I hope that's
04:38the case we eventually get ourselves a scarlet but this of course does fit in
04:41his hand he does also have a backpack but there's nothing on the pack that
04:45would suggest the idea that you can attach things on to it there's no peg
04:48he's got sort of like a rocket launcher here on the side but there's no storage
04:52space at all for any of the following accessories there looks to be like an
04:55indentation right here I was kind of thinking for a second would there be a
04:57way to kind of fit this in here because you can kind of see there's a groove
05:01right here but there's not it almost kind of looks like he should have had an
05:05extra accessory like one of those little binocular pieces that come and
05:08include with Joe's from time to time that would have been perfect and it
05:11would have probably fit right in there and yet one is not included with with
05:15beachhead this backpack by the way seems to be a solid bit of plastic there's a
05:19peg on the end that suggests the idea that if you look on the back of the
05:22figures body there's a hole right here in his vest just take the backpack and
05:25you fit it onto his back it actually holds a lot better than the earlier
05:29looked at firefly firefly had to of course contend with the idea that he had
05:32himself the drone as well as the stick of dynamite a lot of things that went
05:35boom he is his backpack was a little harder to hold the figure finally does
05:39just before we get to his his beret he also comes included with this pretty
05:43cool-looking gun dusted across this a little bit of silver other than that is
05:47molded here in an olive colored green with a little bit of blue down below
05:50there the thing that I really like about this is that it can hold in his hand for
05:54obvious reasons and would be disappointing obviously if he wouldn't
05:57be able to do that but because he also has a double hinge on his elbow he gets
06:01the afforded opportunity to be able to hold the gun from both sides kind of
06:05like that that's the way I'm gonna be displaying I feel beachhead on my shelf
06:08it looks really super cool still there isn't a place to store the gun anywhere
06:12on the figures body so on the backpack unfortunately no nowhere on the figures
06:16body no no it can't do that either so it's either in his hand or you just add
06:19a lock finally the figure does come in clear with a beret now ideally I would
06:25have just preferred to have beachhead with his buckle of his mask but instead
06:28if you don't like the buckle up baklava you can also as well get the beret and
06:32the beret fits over top of his head like that never really been a fan of this
06:37look for beachhead I mean ideally again if I'm thinking about what they can make
06:41use of these molds I mean that would be an ideal beret maybe to release with
06:44Flint but it's there I mean certainly it is there if you want to add this on top
06:48of his existing mask just go ahead and remove this right now by the way this
06:51this beret is a little bit more of a softer plastic as you can see by the way
06:55I'm squishing it let's remove his backpack let's put that off to the side
06:59for right now and getting a closer look at beachhead now again while they took
07:03some liberties when it came to the design of the character beachhead
07:06doesn't change all that much the only thing notably I would say about
07:09beachhead for his baklava mask is the fact that the front gray here I don't
07:13think should have necessarily been there they could have just instead I kept I
07:16feel kept the entire mask in green instead but they add a little bit of
07:20gray the gray there is also added here to the sides of his sleeves it's got some
07:24patch on the top there as well but that's not really quite the same color
07:26he's also got gray on the side so the gray does blend in with other of the
07:29grays on the body it's not like this is just the first appearance of the gray
07:32and it's making no other appearances the only other thing I would have said about
07:35this character though is that if you look at his pants his pants are clearly
07:39brown his vest is also brown with black plates over top of it of course you got
07:44some black pockets there on the front as well I would have just preferred myself
07:48this is only speaking for myself as an example but I would have rather if the
07:52vest would have been all black instead of brown I think it's just a whole lot
07:56of brown happening here the brown pants work okay but I don't think like the
08:00vest being brown I think works all that well I mean at least there's a little
08:03bit of black to break it up I would have just rathered if this would have been
08:06all black instead that's just me it's got some nice details overall it looks
08:11to be like an inflatable perhaps where you'd be able to pull this and this
08:14would inflate I I'm suspecting I'm probably wrong by saying that but
08:18overall nice details though on the vest itself that's a few pockets there on the
08:21sides he's got of course knee pads they're featured on the front still no
08:25removable knife but I don't think it necessarily needs to be removable I mean
08:28he has like one accessory he's got the backpack he's got the the rifle of
08:32course he's got himself the beret I think he has more than enough I'm not
08:35disappointed at all he doesn't have a removable knife it kind of feels like
08:38you want to be able to remove it I keep forcing at this and I know eventually
08:41what's gonna end up happening is I'm just gonna break the holster completely
08:44off his leg and then I'm gonna be so sad I'm gonna really regret the fact I even
08:48did that now for the fingers articulation it's on par with all the
08:52other things that we've gotten so far from an exquisite mini and certainly GI
08:54Joe the heads gonna rotate all the way around for beachhead heads gonna look
08:58down and look up and move back and forth as well in addition to that though
09:02beachhead also seems to have a ball joint at the base of the neck it doesn't
09:05move maybe as freely as perhaps Cobra Commander or Destro but there's a bit of
09:09movement there as well upper torso is gonna be on a ball joint despite for the
09:13fact he's got the vest over top of that the arms do hinge out at 90 degrees a
09:17little tighter on the shoulders but again I'd rather have tight joints than
09:20loose joints the arms rotate also all the way around sometimes though while
09:24you're doing this you might find the shoulders start to rotate too far you
09:29want to make sure though the hinge joins right here because of course when you
09:31bend the arm down you want to make sure that the arm doesn't snap swivel in the
09:35bicep the figure does also have a double hinge on the elbow and the hands rotate
09:38all the way around by the legs do split out you can take them moving forward and
09:42move them back there's a bit of a drop down also as well I don't know if
09:46we're ever gonna be getting vehicles for any of the GI Joe's but if there is
09:48there will be the opportunity of course to have any one of these exquisite minis
09:51with the means to actually sit inside the vehicles I do hope that we are gonna
09:56be getting vehicles at some point just pop those legs back in place there's a
09:59swivel there as well the figure doesn't have from what I can see a swivel cut in
10:03his thigh I'm looking at this unless the swivel cut no it doesn't seem like it
10:08actually looks like there's a swivel cut right there Firefly had it I don't think
10:12that I don't think that Beachhead has it doesn't seem like it wants to swivel
10:15there double hinge on the knee though the figure does have ankle pivot up and
10:18down and the figure does also have ankle rocker good-looking good-looking overall
10:23Beachhead I had Beachhead as a kid growing up he was part of I guess what
10:26the was the 88 run where of course we got introduced some brand new characters
10:31like low low light low light was certainly one one lifeline one of the
10:35ones Leatherneck all those cool ones from of course a series and of course
10:39Beachhead as well was training the new GI Joe's when it came to the GI Joe movie
10:43all in all though I really like the look at Beachhead I think like so far
10:47from what we've seen I think my favorite probably is either Cobra Commander or
10:51Firefly Beachhead's not bad though Beachhead kind of keeps again like the
10:54consistent look of the classic look to Beachhead whether being in the original
10:57cartoon or the eight the 80s toy line Beachhead does overall for the most part
11:02look good whether you decide you want to have the character displayed with his
11:05beret or not I think there's definitely things that they may be teasing that we
11:09got ourselves of course the crossbow perhaps potentially for a Scarlet down
11:12the road let's got a beret I know Beachhead's known for obviously wearing
11:15a beret but I think that also would be an ideal candidate for an accessory to
11:19be included with Flint despite being so outnumbered by Cobra Beachhead still
11:23turned out to be a nice release from Haya toys if you're one that likes the
11:26classic look to Beachhead I don't feel like a lot gets changed to him I mean
11:29obviously Haya adds their own flair to the figure release of him but he still
11:33has enough of the classic look the green baklava for example only adds just a
11:38little bit of gray to the front of it but other than that you know again it
11:40looks a lot like the original character he now of course gets himself the
11:44additional beret that the original figure couldn't save would have had and
11:47he gets a welcomed addition with the crossbow I still think that that
11:50crossbow is gonna make a reappearance you would think though any toy company
11:54that's molding a thing from scratch the cost of tooling these things and molding
11:57these things they want to get as much out of that as they can I think that
12:00crossbow I'm calling right now is gonna get re-released and reissued with a an
12:04exquisite miniseries of Scarlet yeah other than just maybe changing the color
12:09of the vest I think maybe just because he's got so much brown in his legs then
12:12adding a bit of the brown also in his torso I think there's just so much of
12:16that had they maybe changed that instead to black I think we would have really
12:19had a nicer looking Beachhead but now though I like the look of the character
12:22there's just a whole lot of Browns though in his suit what do you guys
