00:00When you're in love, I mean, based from my experience, you really don't see any flaws.
00:05Like when you're in love, they literally wake up in the morning and they look like a rat,
00:10but you're like, oh, look at this beautiful human being, like, you're like, wow, look
00:15at your hair.
00:23I've always wanted to share my story through songs that I've written.
00:28I'm actually working on an album right now, and the whole concept is just about my life
00:33experiences from like the best experiences to the worst experiences.
00:38Sweet Delusion is like the perfect introduction to that.
00:42Sweet Delusion is about being in love with someone, knowing that deep down inside, they're
00:47not going to be there with you forever, but you're just like, no, I'm in love in this
00:51moment.
00:52Like, I don't want to think about that.
00:58When I was writing this, it was very specific to a person.
01:07I'm very careful with like shit-talking about a person in my music, like I would never,
01:12I would never do that.
01:13This is me just throwing shade a little bit.
01:15It's the way you say you're such a gentleman, because it's funny because he says it, but
01:19he's actually not a gentleman.
01:20This guy is a yapper.
01:21It's love, it's love, it's the beginning.
01:27In every relationship I was in, it always starts very sweet, butterflies in your stomach,
01:32very wholesome and beautiful.
01:34When the sun comes up, I hear the dissonance, red alert, alarm, but I'm not listening.
01:45It's love, it's love, it's tunnel vision.
01:50Red flags pop up.
01:51You're just like, I'm not, I'm disregarding that.
01:54I don't care about the red flags.
01:55Like you're, like I said, tunnel vision.
01:57You're enjoying the moment.
01:58You're like, oh, but like, he's like so sweet to me.
02:01He probably talks to other girls, but like, he's so nice.
02:04Like he gives me flowers, you know?
02:16It's actually one of my favorite lines in that song.
02:18It just means that you're stuck in that fake reality and you just love how it makes you
02:22feel because you don't want to deal with the reality.
02:24It literally consumes you, like it could make you crazy.
02:27I don't think I've ever really showed off my vibrato that much.
02:30So it goes like, consuming, like I've never really done that in a song before.
02:36And so I was just like so happy that I could show it off.
02:48This is the moment you realize that he wants to move on.
03:08And it's that moment when you're just like, well, I don't want you to go.
03:11It's hard to be alone.
03:12It gets lonely and you just want someone there to hold you and tell you it's okay and you're
03:17safe.
03:18I love to have a contrast with my music.
03:20When the lyrics are sad, it's either the production is happier or like the melodies are happier.
03:25So it's just not like super sad, the whole thing.
03:28I want my songs to be hopeful.
03:29I wanted it to end that way in the chorus because like, I wanted to remind the listener
03:36to get back to reality, literally.
03:49Silence is my favorite.
04:01I could literally sit in my room for a whole day without talking to anyone.
04:05A huge reason why is because I grew up in such a chaotic household.
04:09I grew up with so many animals, chickens, cows, goats, sheeps.
04:14It's loud.
04:15And my parents are always yelling at each other.
04:17Now as an adult, I'm like, I want my peace time, but sometimes it could be suffocating.
04:22I wasn't having enough communication with the person I was dealing with.
04:25He loves to talk, but when it's time to talk, he doesn't talk.
04:29He doesn't want to fix the problem.
04:32He gives me the silent treatment and that's when it starts being suffocating.
04:47Better than being alone, keep me company.
04:54Don't you ever let go, lose my sanity.
04:59And get lost in the smoke, cause reality is inevitable.
05:09Usually people use bridge to take the listener to a whole different world, but in this song,
05:15I wanted the listener to feel how I feel.
05:19You can kind of hear my voice cracking a little bit.
05:22It's because when I was recording that, it was like 4 a.m. in the morning.
05:24I was almost crying, honestly.
05:25It was very emotional.
05:27Because I was just feeling every single lyric, it hurts.
05:31My goal as an artist is honestly to help people and make people feel something.
05:39When they listen to my songs, I want them to take something from it and also to feel
05:45what I'm trying to say.
05:48I honestly think Sweet Delusion is just an appetizer.
05:51I've written so many beautiful songs.
05:56I think Sweet Delusion is just a very good beginning of the chapter.
