00:00Hello, I'm James McMirovich and I'm here at Aldersley Stadium ahead of the
00:04Professional Darts Corporation's Grand Slam of Darts. The PDC tournament has
00:08been held in Wolverhampton every year apart from one in Wolverhampton and
00:11since 2018 it's been held at Aldersley Stadium. This week 32 of the best
00:17players in the game will be competing here at Aldersley Stadium. They'll be
00:22playing three group games each and then each the top two from that group
00:26will head through to knockout stages. By next Sunday the 17th there'll be one
00:30person who will walk away with the winner's check and the Eric Bristow
00:33trophy. It's a big week in the darts calendar here in Wolverhampton. It's also
00:37a big week for the city of Wolverhampton because it brings lots of people in from
00:40around the community. There'll be up to 20,000 people watching this tournament
00:44over the week. There are a few tickets available for some of the midweek
00:47sessions but in the main everything is sold out. That's 1,800 people per session.
00:51There are bars here, there are places to eat, there are tables in that direction.
00:56I'm actually sat in the seat I'm going to be sat in for the first session on
00:59Saturday with two big screens in front of me, the stage right over there and
01:03it's just a fantastic arena to watch darts in. If you're a darts fan have a
