00:00All the false notions of myself that once caused you pain have turned to ash and I knew
00:23it could.
00:25Love is the physical prior, where the heart must lay its body.
00:37It's just remembered that all that we are topped off is the body.
00:44And the body comes from the heart, must serve the heart, must go down.
01:15For me it means the heartless body is the core.
01:34We with the heart, the body will be taken care of.
01:38Who will take care of the body?
01:40That's a faithless question.
01:44You may need the heart, the heart knows all the ways of producing the body, of maintaining
02:00the body, of dissolving the body.
02:02It knows.
02:05Leave that to the heart.
02:15It's the game, where only the heart knows how to play best.
02:22Leave that game to the truth, to the heart, to God.
02:33Thought is body, intention is body, method is body, feeling is body, emotion is body.
02:41None of them are significant.
02:45Do not attach any importance to any of them.
02:51Even your loftiest thought, even the greatest principle that you can appreciate is nothing.
03:01It can't even go close to the truth, let alone capture it.
03:15Everything that you can imagine, dream, talk of, name, touch, sense, imagine is the body.
03:26And whatever is the body must be subservient to the heart.
03:36Memories, what are memories?
03:40The body is such a fine example of memory carrying itself forward in time.
03:51Is your face not similar to the face that you had yesterday?
03:56Is the DNA not in a desperate will to prolong itself in its time?
04:04The body is memory.
04:06The body is memory.
04:16Love is the general fire where the heart must play its role.
04:28To be in love is to be attracted towards only the truth.
04:35To be in love is not to be attracted towards all that which comes and goes.
04:50You don't love thousands, you are devoted to one.
04:56To be in love is to be devoted only to the one.
05:00And that one will then decide how you relate to the rest of the universe.
05:18And that one is the truth without a statement.
05:24And that one is the truth that one cannot imagine.
05:29So to be devoted to the truth does not mean being devoted to anything.
05:35Because the truth is not a thing.
05:37What does it practically then mean to be devoted to the truth, to love the truth, to love the one?
05:42What does it practically mean?
05:44It practically only means that we, since we are already in a state of attachment to many,
05:56we just see that this attachment is not real love.
06:01Seeing the falseness of false love is love towards the truth.
06:07I repeat, seeing the falseness of false love is love towards the truth.
06:15You cannot love the truth directly.
06:18You cannot go to a statue like this and say I am loving the truth.
06:23That does not mean anything.
06:26Truth can be loved only in an abnegation of everything which is not directly the truth.
06:45And only truth powers that abnegation.
06:48Without the backing of truth, how will you be able to reject the false?
06:56That is how one loves God.
07:01By seeing that one must reject everything that he imagined to be ungodly.
07:09You see, you are attracted, let's say, towards a man or a woman.
07:15When you are attracted towards a person, are you attracted towards him because you are attracted towards God? No.
07:25In that experience of attraction, you are attracted towards a person, a body.
07:33To be devoted to the truth means that when I see that I am being attracted towards something that I do not take to be the truth,
07:44then I will no more pursue that attraction. I will no more energize it.
07:50Now, if you really are attracted towards a person because you see God in that person,
07:57then by all means energize that attraction.
08:00By all means, with all your energy, with all that is at your disposal, empower that relationship.
08:09But if you know and we do know, don't we?
08:12If it's primarily lustful, don't we already know it?
08:17We are conscious of it.
08:19If we know that I am going towards something, taking it not to be God, then my duty, my dharma is to not to power my steps.
08:35Do you see, this is how one goes towards the truth.
08:38One goes towards the truth by not going towards that which one takes or one knows not to be the truth.
08:47I repeat, if you are going towards a person or an idea or a statue because you really see the truth there, then continue on.
08:58But most of the times, we know, if you are rushing towards a meeting,
09:02are you rushing towards the meeting because you are rushing towards God?
09:06No. You very well know that it's a business meeting and you are rushing towards it to ensure your security, your continuation, your greed essentially.
09:17Once you come to see that, then don't keep rushing on.
09:25That is what is meant by being devoted to God or truth.
09:33In the world, we will have two kinds of movements.
09:37One is the movement towards truth, powered by the truth.
09:45The other is the movement when we see something in which we do not see the truth, yet we see it as attractive.
09:56Does that not happen with us?
09:58You see something and you don't see the truth in it and yet you find it attractive.
10:04To be devoted to the truth means I will not give value to this attraction.
10:11And you cannot use this as a formula or a principle.
10:16Not giving value to something is something very implicit. It happens.
10:21It happens when you see that that which you are pursuing is something that you have been pursuing relentlessly since long,
10:30since centuries, since the beginning of time and it has only given you suffering.
10:36And then your steps freeze.
10:37Then you do not want to proceed.
10:41Then you see that this particular chase is no different from the chase of yesterday,
10:47which was in its turn no different from the chase of yesterday.
10:52And all these chases have only resulted in a situation where you need to chase more and more.
11:00If you need to chase today and if you were chasing yesterday,
11:04was yesterday's chase of any avail?
11:07Had it been of any consequence, would you be left to chase even today?
11:14Chasing yesterday, if you have to chase even today, it only means that these chases are generally futile.
11:26And lead to this stage where you have to chase even more.
11:31And then your steps freeze.
11:33And that is devotion towards the truth.
11:36I repeat, devotion towards the truth is not an idea.
11:40Devotion towards the truth is not a concept or a thought.
11:43You cannot declare yourself to be devoted towards the truth.
11:47Devotion towards the truth shows up in your daily lifestyle.
11:51It shows up in the way your choices come.
11:55It shows up in the way you breathe, you relate, you talk, you eat,
12:00you decide, you prioritize.
12:04In that shows up your devotion to the truth.
12:08It is not about declaring that you belong to a particular sect or cult or religion.
12:13That has nothing to do with devotion.
12:15That has only to do with identification.
