00:00I'll just give you a couple of facts and figures about, and especially for Dr Holland's benefit,
00:05letting know exactly what Animal Welfare League does, it is, it does exist without our volunteers.
00:12We have, we added up the first time ever, we added it up because Anthony Albanese asked me
00:17how many volunteers, we had a good answer. So we've now got one, we've got 1,100 volunteers
00:23across the state. In our regions and with our volunteers, we actually rehome more animals
00:31than we do out of our main shelter in Camps Creek. So I think we rehome about one and a half thousand
00:38through our regions and branches across the state, which is really, really important to us,
00:42and it's actually very cost effective because all the volunteers working provide great outcomes for
00:50us as an organisation, but more importantly for the animals. The people that you see here today,
00:55so we've got President Linda Geddes, we have Kerry who's put in a lot of work with respect to,
01:04with respect to setting this up and the organisation. There's Olivia, there's Olivia Forge,
01:10she's our new admin here, so if you ever have a problem with your animals or you want our help,
01:16we've got Amanda Shane who's joined and we're really happy to have have Amanda on board and
01:22get some staff down here. This branch specifically did 124, correct me if I'm rather wrong,
01:30Kerry, 124 houses. Last year we rehomed 124, Birgit is a hotspot, so this is the first one
01:38of the centres, it's the most, probably one of the most important areas in regional areas in our
01:44minds for animal welfare. The branch is performing off its, I want to say off its chops, you're going,
01:53it's fantastic and we're really happy to be here and we look forward to working with yourself
02:00and others to ensure that animals and vega have better outcomes and better welfare outcomes.
