VentureOne's Reda Nidhakou
Transcript
00:00I'm Reza Nidhako, I'm acting CEO of VentureOne, the commercialization arm of ATRC.
00:09Our role at VentureOne is to bring technologies from TII into the hands of end users in a
00:15product shape.
00:16Yeah, the key ingredients of what we do is that first, the technologies we work on have
00:21been built with end users, in full alignment with the end users, from identifying the pain
00:27points to designing the solutions, all the way to executing the research and testing
00:32our solution.
00:33The second one is differentiation.
00:36We only invest in solutions where we believe we can create a differentiated solution, not
00:41to catch up with the existing solutions or build inferior solutions.
00:44And last but not least is impact.
00:47We focus a lot on measuring the impact of our solutions so that we can demonstrate the
00:51return on investment to our customers.
00:53Well, obviously, we are focusing a lot on AI for the last two years, first in TII through
00:59Falcon efforts in the AI Research Center, but also in AI71, which is a spin-out from
01:05VentureOne, which focuses on creating impactful AI solutions in specific domains, like government
01:12services, healthcare, education, construction, and so on.
01:15We also built a capability of AI advisory and custom solutions, where we work with our
01:20partners into identifying their use cases and building specific AI solutions that solve
01:26the specific pain points they have.
01:32Well, if you look at this as a relay race, VentureOne does the last mile.
01:37So we are the ones that take the solutions to the hands of the end users and make sure
01:42that they actually benefit from the impact we wanted to create with this solution.
01:51Other than AI, for example, we are focusing a lot today in robotics and automation.
01:56This domain, with the rise of AI, has a lot of potential when it comes to industrial sector,
02:03but also mobility sector.
02:04So we are building another venture today in mobility and another one using robotics in
02:10agri-tech.
02:11Another sector we are focusing on a lot at the moment is cybersecurity.
02:16With the speed in digitization of organizations, but also the emerging technologies like AI
02:21and quantum computing, the attack surface is increasing and cybersecurity is back at
02:28the heart of technologies.
02:29So we are actually working currently in launching another venture that will focus on post-quantum
02:35crypto solutions and identity management.
02:38I think the key to success is the impact you create with your customers.
02:43If your customers don't perceive the impact you are bringing to the table, it's very difficult
02:48to make the case to adopt the technology, specifically new technologies like AI.
02:53While I think there isn't a better place than the UAE to do AI for a venture, for investors,
02:58today the UAE has put together all the ingredients necessary to thrive in the future.
03:04From compute, to strategy, to governance, to funding, to our own AI models like Falcon,
03:10to specialized champions like AI71 that builds solutions on top of these models.
03:15Today, for a talent or for ventures, coming to the UAE means operating in an ecosystem
03:21where all the components are available for you to thrive.
