00:00A godsend has just befallen the fortunate ailing kidney patients in Misamis Occidental.
00:05A hemodialysis unit with 31 dialysis machines that can treat up to 93 patients a day is beefed up
00:12by medical staff to provide top-notch treatment and care.

00:22The new hemodialysis unit at the Misamis Occidental Provincial Hospital
00:27was opened to the public on Friday, October 25, 2024.
00:31The unit has a total of 31 machines and can accommodate an average of 93 patients per day.
00:38It operates from Monday to Saturday, including holidays,
00:41with treatment sessions running from 7am to 11pm, offering four-hour sessions three times a week.
00:48One of the beneficiaries is 35-year-old Jesbert
00:51from Sapangdalaga who has had stage 5 chronic kidney disease for six years.
01:11Dialysis patient Karl from Talig, Oroqueta City is also a beneficiary of this.
01:21The doctors help with the treatment of patients.
01:24They could have used 4-9 days to treat up to 90 patients in one session.
01:28We are very grateful that the government has sent over the unit.
01:32Nowadays, the government doesn't pay us for the units because we don't pay them.
01:36We are just thankful to the government for not crying at us.
01:43Two nephrologists and four doctors will manage the unit
01:47in order to ensure expert medical care at all times.
01:51It is supported by 23 nurses and 8 technicians trained at the Southern Philippines Medical
01:56Center in Davao City.
01:58The unit is committed to delivering high-quality services.
02:02The province of Misamis Occidental also provides a monthly allowance of P3,000 for each beneficiary.
