समस्तीपुर, बिहार: पीएम अक्षय भारत ग्रीन एनर्जी परियोजना के तहत जिले के 13 जलाशयों का चयन किया गया है। इन जलाशयों में मछली पालन के साथ-साथ फ्लोटिंग सोलर पावर प्लांट लगाए जाएंगे, जिससे हरित ऊर्जा का उत्पादन होगा। यह ऊर्जा बिहार रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी डेवलपमेंट एजेंसी (ब्रेडा) के माध्यम से निकटवर्ती पावर सब स्टेशन को उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी, जिससे स्थानीय उपभोक्ताओं को हरित ऊर्जा मिलेगी। उप विकास आयुक्त (डीडीसी) संदीप शेखर प्रियदर्शी ने कहा, "योजना का उद्देश्य स्थायी ऊर्जा के लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने के लिए हमारे बड़े जलाशयों का पूर्ण उपयोग करना है। यह परियोजना व्यावहारिक उपयोग के लिए सौर प्रकाश को बिजली में परिवर्तित करके अक्षय और टिकाऊ ऊर्जा पर ध्यान केंद्रित करती है। इसका पर्यावरण पर सकारात्मक प्रभाव पड़ता है और थर्मल पावर प्लांट से होने वाले प्रदूषण को कम करने में मदद मिलती है, जब तक सूरज की रोशनी है तब तक निरंतर बिजली मिलती रहेगी।"
